Truly mind-boggling that someone would think laws make no difference in society. I can point to dozens of laws that save lives every year. What kind of conspiracy bunker do you live in to think that laws don't effect society?

@johnpierce1470 I don't need to read the thread to know that making something more difficult to obtain also makes it more difficult for criminals. Apparently you missed the part where legally obtained weapons creates an easy channel for criminals to buy and smuggle them. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't apply the same logic to immigration laws or robbery, etc. "Criminals are going to break laws anyway so why have any laws at all?" is just absurd.

@jamesjabs3517 Calling people names doesn't make your arguments any better. 1. The fact that criminals can obtain guns in "many ways" doesn't change the fact that they can obtain them far easier with fewer restrictions 2. Cities all over the world have higher rates of crime because of population density. However when you factor for population density and poverty and look at per capita homicides, it clearly shows more homicides happen when there are more guns. 3. No one ever claimed that crime wouldn't happen without guns. However it is clear that more guns = more homicides and suicides. Sorry, but your personal fears doesn't change basic facts.

@johnpierce1470 If you think laws do nothing in society. Go live with the Taliban or in Zimbabwe or any place with the least laws. You think you're making sense, but you honestly sound deranged. Just because people break laws and murder people, doesn't mean making murder legal is a good idea. 😂 Just because people break speed limits doesn't mean turning every road into the autobahn is a good idea. GTFO dude. 😂

@jamesjabs3517 Not complaining. Just saying it's pointless and doesn't make your arguments any better. No, I don't waste my life being afraid of others all day or have fantasies about killing others. Statistically you're more likely to hurt yourself, your family/friends, and a couple hundred kids die each year in accidental gun deaths.
