Honestly I think it's a good proposal... In my mind it changes discussion from a blanket ban "just because you're trans" to one where "unfairness" has to be evaluated and proven. If you simply force it on all schools then sure enough someone will find ONE example somewhere where it was unfair (like a recent trans girl joining a female wrestling team). That one example, that I'm sure Fox News will find, will be enough to make Biden look like an authoritarian who doesn't care about parents and their children.

@tbrowder4796 A little education is in order: 1. The entire point of getting gender affirming care when you're a child is to stop the hormones that involve those changes that create larger muscles, bigger bones, etc. Boys don't magically come out of the womb stronger, they develop as they grow with hormones like testosterone which can actually be higher in female children before the age of 10. 2. Not all sports rely on raw strength. 3. You do realize there are also "trans boys" who are born biologically female right? So based on your logic they should be disadvantaged and still not allowed to play sports for some reason? 🤔

@tbrowder4796 Obviously it requires education when you keep saying "man" when we're referring to children in high school. And yes the entire reason we're talking about children transitioning is because they realize at an early age that something is wrong and they want to do something about it before puberty sets in. Doing something before puberty IS THE ENTIRE POINT.... Do you not get that? Again, why are you talking about "men" when we're talking about non-adults? Do you not know the topic of the video you're commenting on?

@tbrowder4796 First off I don't believe you. Secondly, for the sake of argument if what you're saying is true and this person transitioned sometime after puberty, after their muscles/body developed, and is not on any hormone blockers then this proposal already takes into account "fairness". However if you're not going to understand the topic and instead demonize other children because of your own personal issues, then you're not actually helping anything.

@tbrowder4796 Again, there's a reason why there's a "fairness" clause in this proposal. Some kids can transition later than others and if it causes a clear problem then it can be handled by the school. Which is exactly what I spelled out in the comment you replied to.... At the same time we shouldn't pretend that ALL trans kids are the same. They're not. Some girls transition into boys. Some boys transition well before beginning puberty (which again, is the point) and every situation needs to be handled individually before just blanketly telling kids they're not allowed to participate. Any thoughts of "unfairness" is literally nothing compared to what these trans kids have to endure every day of their lives. They also deserve to have as normal of school life as they can without being treated as pariahs. High school is already hard enough when you're not constantly being reminded that you're different than everyone else.

lol... What's the "wrong gender"? 😅 Sports are not meant for certain genders? 🤔
