  1. Sounds like one company prioritizes protecting something from getting stolen (Tile) and the other company prioritizes people simply misplacing their stuff (Apple). I don't know how you can keep someone from stealing your stuff if you alert the thief to the fact that they are being tracked.

Many companies make unfortunate ads and if those ads can be directly attributed to causing people harm then they should pay for that, but the fact still remains if you're going to have a product to track a stolen item, letting the thief know the item is being tracked defeats the purpose of that. 🤷🏽‍♂
