And yes, it would be the same joke if it were a white woman, because in case you didn't realize it GI Jane was white... It might be a Sinead O'Conner joke if they were a singer instead of an actor. Chris Rock didn't even know she had a condition. Also, depending on the person, it is perfectly acceptable to make a joke about someone in a wheelchair or deaf, based on whether the person is sensitive about it or not. Believe it or not, lots of disabled people have no problems laughing at their condition even the deaf woman you just pictured. Laughter can be something that unifies people, and the most well-adjusted people can laugh at themselves. Furthermore, I really don't think telling more people they are "disabled" is a good thing. Most people on this planet have some kind of physical, medical, or psychological issue. Just embrace the diversity instead of acting as if anyone who looks slightly different is automatically "disabled".

It's obvious that he wasn't doing it out of any sort of racism he was doing it to try to make people feel empowered rather than demeaned by the word. This is nonsense... There are hundreds of reasons why nothing like this will ever exist never mind teaching airline pilots complex aerial docking maneuvers 😂. But I guess everything is supposed to conveniently work through "AI" magic right? 🙄

The idea that we're all connected and rely on a society to survive is foreign to a lot of people. When a viruses and climate change wipes out most of the population, that's when people will finally go "Oh....." People have spent way to long in their little silos thinking that they have it all figured out.

Of all the improvements to AI and speech I have yet to see any significant improvements to facial expressions on animatronic like "robots", they've looked pretty much the same for decades. Realtime 3D rendering of CG characters has improved a lot. Might be better to just figure out a way of realistically projecting a 3D image onto these robots rather than trying to mechanically replicate every facial muscle.

  33. Not sure why she has to buy prepackaged food... I'm not a zero waste person, but I still get veggies from my local farmers/CSAs. Coronavirus can live far longer on plastics than vegetables anyway, so I really don't get what she's doing. Also there's no such thing as "composting in your freezer" that's just storing food you don't want to eat.... Probably should expand on that more cause it was really unclear.

  36. Sorry, but Dany's goal was always the throne. It wasn't never to "give everyone a voice". She never once operated like a democracy in any way. She was a character that allowed you to project your hopes and aspirations to. Just like many of our politicians who say one thing because it's popular and gets them elected and end up doing something else entirely. Maybe that idea hits a bit close to home for you, idk.

  44. The question isn't politics, the question is following the law. The founders put impeachment in the constitution for a reason. There is no "partisan politics" in the constitution. If Congress doesn't perform their constitutional duties they essentially set a precedent that normalizes everything this administration did. The reason we still talk about "Watergate" today is because of the impeachment process. The reason we talk about a president lying under oath is because of the impeachment of Bill Clinton. If we allow what Trump did to go unchecked, we're basically diminishing the office for future generations. Which may already be too late.

You're perfectly able to do that on your own. Just because tests aren't 100% accurate 100% of the time doesn't mean that Covid doesn't exist. 155,000 people dying outside of flu season isn't some kind of weird coincidence.

  49.  @tuyenle8107  I remember that Clinton was up by a couple points in the polls by November. I also remember that Clinton won the popular vote by 3 million votes. Which was well within the margin of error of those polls. Clinton lost the electoral college, but the national polls were not inaccurate. Ignorance and ignoring science is the reason why this country is in the mess it's in right now. Again, how much do you want to bet? 😀
