  1. Looks more like a publicity stunt to me.... Obviously this is already a skilled pilot wearing a paramedic suit. Furthermore it is also likely too dangerous to fly something like this under the weather conditions that would also cause problems for hikers. I don't see how this has any advantages over dropping a paramedic in from helicopter. At least with a helicopter you could lift people out of the situation and bring a lot more equipment. The only point to this was "hey look at a cool guy flying".
