Why do you imagine that it was the sole responsibility of the UK to act as the "policeman of Europe" Why didn't the countries of central Europe not spend more on their OWN armed forces during the interwar years to defend themselves or settle their own stupid petty differences and strike up a joint coalition to collectively defend themselves? Instead of expecting the UK taxpayer to sort out the rest of Europe's problems? Face reality, if it wasn't for the British and French declaration of war in 1939 your countries and populations would STILL to this day be under the control of nazi Germany, seeing as NO-ONE else in the world cared if you were dying under nazi tyranny or not.... the USSR was only too happy to assist nazi Germany in its sacking of Europe at that point, and the US was greedily making such VAST profits off BOTH sides of the conflict that it had NO intention of taking up arms against its two highest paying "international customers". It was ONLY the British and the French declaration of war in 1939 that triggered off the opposition to nazism and then after the French surrender in 1940 the British Empire ALONE maintained the opposition that eventually resulted in the toppling of the nazi regime. Some mature gratitude to the 460,000 Brits who died in a war that never conquered our country would be in order. But I won't hold my breath waiting for it... too many non thinkers nowadays blindly follow without question the BS that globalist media companies now push out.

  9. when you talk about campaigns of rape and murder......within WW2 the Germans and Japanese conducted the first examples of such, the horrors that were visited upon them in return are simple revenge for the crimes that THEY FIRST COMMITTED. If you're looking for sympathy for nazi Germany and the Japan ruled by the militarists, then you'll find it in a dictionary between "shit" & "syphilis".

It is unsurprising that the SS regiment commander was "shocked" and had his "humanity shaken to the core" when it was plainly obvious to all that the war was entering its final phase and the victors would most likely (though in actuality they didn't) exact justice for such heinous acts. If the same events had happened in 1941-43 the same commander would have in all probability eagerly condoned such action as a way of supressing opposition to nazi rule.
