What I find DOUBLY dispiriting apart form the loss of Mr Mosley himself, is the complete inanity and low intelligence of many of the comments below. The Times' readership really HAS reached record lows.
3
It was a short walk, along a clearly marked path and roadway. He surprisingly made a misjudgement regarding the conditions and his own endurance. To err is human.
3
Good to see the occasional sound and well reasoned comment amonst the avalanche of complete thickheaded nonsense in comments.
2
@cliveparry3559 Dear me... Apart from Mr Mosley NOT falling down a cliff, your response is also a complete non-sequitur. Seems like you're also suffering from the first signs of either heat stroke or possibly dementia.
2
You've never heard of the simile "a needle in a haystack" have you?
2
@Baldnesz "all this guff about him likely passing out or going delirious a couple of hundred meters out of Pedi were unlikely" You do know that your statement is complete nonsense, don't you?
2
@joyrichards1419 There's no shortage of complete idiots in these comments. best to ignore them.
2
@user-dd1bb4tw4r Your lack of understanding speaks volumes.
2
Why? What "suspicions" do you have? Are you sure you're not mistaking a lack of understanding for "suspicions"?
2
The REALLY funny people used to say a fire in Liverpool had caused "several thousands of pounds worth of improvements".
1
But not the the countlesss legions of low intelligence types in these comments. It was obviously a big pharma "hit", or a side effect of his vaccine jabs.
1
@VoiceOfThe The only stupid thing here is your own comment. He set off for a short walk to a known destination, along a clearly defined path and roadway, armed with sun protection and very likely a bottle of water in his small rucksack (all this "he had no water" is complete uncoroborated hearsay from the gutter MSM). He simply misjudged the high temperature, quite possibly because he had been for a swim at Agia Nikolios beach shortly before setting off on his final walk. He then suffered the onset of heat stroke, became disorientated took a wrong turn into a barren, rocky headland in scorching conditions and succumbed to heat stroke and dehydration... Lots of people, many of them undoubtedly more sensbile people that you, have made the same misjudgement throughout history, and paid the ultimate price.
1
@ceeemm1901 My word thats a pile of "unenlightening verbiage" you've gone to the trouble of typing in there...
1
@ceeemm1901 Liverpool council estate 1960s I was born. Seems that standard is of too high an order for you. Cricket's not my thing BTW.... Now gimma a chukka at Cowdray Park and I'm your man.

It does, it's more likely that your own level of understanding is insufficient to comprehend the lead up to the tragedy.

@Micheal-Knight- There lies your error. You're reading the reports as if they have been composed by a discerning, well educated & mature journalist with decades of life experience behind them. The truth is the MSM now employ the produce of our sadly corrupted "ejukayshun sistim". The type of young people who now can't wipe their own arses without getting it in their hair, and who are told to "look for an angle" on the story by some cynical old hack editor. Take for instance the report that Mr Mosley's body was found "in a complex cave system known to locals as "The Abyss"".... then weigh that BS against the fact of the people who discovered his body clearly saying that they spotted him from a boat a few meters off the shoreline at the Agai Marina complex. How would they do that if he was "in a complex cave sytem called the "Abyss""?

How do you know he DIDN'T have sun protection (such as the umbrella he used along his walk) OR bottled water?
1
@Ray-555 Do you think he was wearing a full length plastic "Packa Mac"? You do realise that an umbrella is open all around and allows any air movement to remove the sweat from your body, thereby cooling you?
1
@Ray-555 Makes me wonder why you referred to sun cream when my comment that you were repsonding to specifically mentioned an unbrella?
1
It wasn't a fall from height, the area is a moderate slope of broken rocky terrain. Neither was he "found in a cave called the abyss" as some of the thickheaded juvenile morons of the MSM are reporting.
1
She appears to be NOWHERE near as ignorant as you appear to be.
1
I've not seen a piece of evidence that My Mosley told his wife "he didn't feel well". That is currently just unsubstantiated BS from the MSM. Who said he "didn't have water" and are you ANOTHER sad case who carries their phone with them wherever they go?

What? fires?
1
Your evidence for such a comment, Sherlock?
1
@cliveparry3559 Please show me where the cliff was ? He was found on sloping rocky ground next to a fence. There's literally NO cliff nearby. Do you honestly believe EVERYTHING you read in papers? Some are STILL reporting that he was "found in a complex of caves known to locals as "The Abyss"" !!! In the absence (and sometimes presence) of actual facts the MSM just spew out sensationalist BS. Do please wake up.
1
@cliveparry3559 Clive, wipe the rabid spittle from your lips. Look at the photographs, and IGNORE the BS reported by the MSM. Mr Mosley's body was found on sloping rocky ground next to a fence..... there is literally NO cliff ANYWHERE near where he lay. Instead of typing nonsense, wake up and realise that what the MSM often reports in the absence of hard facts is complete BS, they sometimes even report BS even in the PRESENCE of hard facts to the contrary. Such as yesterday when some news outlets were STILL reporting that Mr Mosley's body was found "down a complex of caves known to locals as "The Abyss"", which is ALSO complete BS. Wake up Sherlock, you seem to assign FAR too much intelligence to the hack reporters of the MSM. Nowadays they're mostly young kids who have difficulty wiping their own arses without getting it in their hair.
1
Because he never intentionally set out on a 2 hour walk. Also the "no water" is pure supposition by the MSM. I've not seen a comment from his wife or friends to confirm that oft repeated hearsay. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_stroke
1
@eblita3698 You seem blissfully unaware of the effects of heat stroke,,,, here ducate yourself before you talk any more nonsnese on a public forum. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_stroke
1
Absolutely correct. But can you not see that he never set off for a "hike in barren landscapes"? He set of on a short walk for his apartment in Symi town along a clearly defined path and roadway, armed with sun protection and very likely a bottle of water in his small rucksack (all this "he had no water" is complete uncoroborated hearsay from the gutter MSM). He simply misjudged the high temperature, quite possibly because he had been for a swim at Agia Nikolios beach shortly before setting off on his final walk. He then suffered the onset of heat stroke, became disorientated took a wrong turn into a barren, rocky headland in scorching conditions and succumbed to heat stroke and dehydration. Surely you're aware of the physical symptoms of heat stroke? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_stroke
1
Never made a mistake in your life have you not? The weight of being so perfect must weigh heavy on your shoulders.
1
@ceeemm1901 He wasn't "going for a ramble through a rock desert". He set off on a clearly defined path, and made a judgement call that with his umbrella, and water he would make it the short distance (1km) to the nearby village of Pedi, and from there a further, 2.5km on another clearly defined roadway to Symi town.... A not unreasonable assumption. His misjudgement was to overestimate his own endurance in the prevailing conditions. As I say... it must be a burden to carry that weight of perfection on your shoulders.
1
@shaunisaac4653 You've utterly no idea of the symptoms of heat stroke and syncope, have you? How deep down can you dig that hole?
1
Do you believe that through the ages humans have evolved with a constant supply of convenient food available?
1
"Defend the UK"? WTF !!! Have the Roooskis taken France already !!! Oh no of COURSE !!! Its the west who have their weapons and "military advisors" marching up and down Russia's borders and coasts isn't it?
1
@johnchristmas7522 Blame the government who took fire regulation enforcement out of fire Brigade's hands in the 1990s.
1
@rebeccakeene2553 What if he took poison? (I don't for one second think it is suicide, but a lack of visible injury is NOT evidence that someone has not commited suicide).
1
Yes you can see his body..... from the drone footage. Doh !!!
1
Can I ask where the "wasn't feeling well" comes from? I'm hearing it repeated in comments, but have not seen ANY video footage of family making this statement.
