  1. I'm torn. I would not fight against people that I have no beef with because I was ordered to by people I do NOT trust (politicians). I other words I completely agree with Ben's sentiments. BUT I do love my culture & heritage, I'm pretty sure that defines me as a "patriot". The defining difference for me being that I don't think my nation is greater than anyone elses. I don't want to invade other countries & cultures, but I don't want other countries and cultures to be flooded into mine. An analogy I use would be to view the world as a buffet or smörgåsbord of different cultures, races and nationalities, where you can "fill your plate" with a selection of different colours and flavours from around the world, all different, but all interesting and enlightening in their own ways. Now view "multiculturalism" as sweeping all these myriad individual colours and flavours off the end of the table and into a giant blender, switch it on for 10 generations and then witness the bland, probably nauseating, homogenised gloop that represents no-one. "Vive la différence" as the French would say.

While your loyalty to your mates is ABSOLUTELY understandable, you can see can't you that while you're looking after each other, you're also shooting at people who you have been told that you must fight by untrustworthy motherfuckers (the politicos). Your worthwhile loyalty to your mates has been manipulated and subverted to help you kill people you don't know for interests that most likely mean nothing to you.
