  6. No you DON'T recall correctly. 303 was the THIRD highest scoring RAF Sqd during the battle, but the HIGHEST scoring HURRICANE sqd during the battle. 302 squadron did not see much action at all during the battle and was nowhere near as high performing.

Also do you speak in a monotone? As the written word cannot convey emphasis, the use of capitals is often used instead.

  11. The Wehrmacht at Dunkirk captured amongst other things thousands upon thousands of unissued British Army uniforms. They couldn't be issued to German army soldiers for obvious reasons. What to do with them all? The answer? They were issued through out WW2 to German U-boat crews where they were unlikely to be mistaken for British soldiers in the middle of the Atlantic !!!

  22. The Poles weren't "not allowed" to take part in the 1946 Victory parade. Poland was the ONLY country to receive TWO invites to the parade and through a bitter mix of politcal hatred and hubris chose to ignore them BOTH !!!!
