Does a vast majority of people in western society now have a full on dependency on medication to get through each day? I don't mean statins and an occasional paracetamol/ibuprofen, but anti-depressants or absolutely critical medication that if it was missed for a dose or two it could endanger one's life? No-one I know ever talks about their daily routine with regards to medication. Have we all (except a seemingly tiny minority according to TIK) sunk to such a level of dependency? I would personally guess that this clutch of deliriously happy characters that TIK met at the conference do NOT watch the news or read newspapers.
