  1.  @wizzolo  Agreed, I made an incorrect assumption you were referring to a need for decompression of the crew. Thank you for clarifying the point you were making.

  2. Why would it "need days or weeks" to bring it up to the surface? If the sub is found and IF they can get a tether onto it, it can be brought up straight away. It is a submarine the internal air pressure is at around the same as surface air pressure. It is NOT a diving suit. There is NO need for crew decompression.
