Tweakers. Try them ;-)
1
Greed, probably?
1
Linux Mint: * Install * Use All additional tweaks and not really necessary ;-)
1
@brandemon6667 You don't have to buy anything. Restrictions are childishly easy to bypass ;-)
1
Mint or Pop_OS and definitely not Ubuntu ;-)
1
Try it in VM ;-)
1
It's "a thing". With pros and cons: + It protects you data from stealing (if your laptop would physically steal) - It slows down and wear out your SSD - If you loose the key - you loose your data.
1
Google "<yourphonename> check app permissions"
1
Shouldn't software be politic-agnostic? ;-) I don't need a pro-Putin and anti-Putin software! I need just software!
1
@JustVictor 17 OwO is more like an emotion and less of an information. A playful one :-)
1
@milk grapes That's true! But I also tweak any Linux distro after installing so I kinda ok with that ;-)
1
Try Mint next Then Manjaro Distributions doesn't matter at the end ;-) Ubuntu is THE closest to Windows in terms of being restrictive and annoying...
1
@zicraftian You could use TimeShift and backup your "home" folder so you could restore it on another Linux Distro. ;-) Trying new Linux distros in a Virtual Machine could help too (you would keep your current system with all the settings). Or trying them on a USB (via "Live CD" feature or just installing them on a USB drive) All of that needs a little bit of googling of course ;-)
1
@zicraftian Take care! :-)
1
"Why spend money when you could make money?" - every big company ;-)
1
@shifureisaikyou2055 Cosmic Desktop is in Alpha - not Rust itself...
1
Easier solution: use Windows Update Minitool to switch updates to Manual ;-)
1
You should back up ANYWAYS! ;-)
1
School teaches how to be a good citizen and a good worker. Nothing more ;-)
1
@ocsanik502 That's true!
1
But they are just encrypted - not broken ;-)
1
Agree! But NOT Mint Debian based - that would just add additional problems for new users ;-) I would suggest Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon x64 (not LMDE which is Debian based!)
1
@bacalhau_seco Maybe. But Arch-based for a newcomer... I'm not sure about that ;-) Same with Manjaro and EndeavourOS I don't think that Linux Kernel v6.8 would be too old for most people's hardware. But if you are tech savvy - CachyOS or EndeavourOS would be a good choice!
1
Oof! Try to do something with that - 32 bit is dying
1
@Lacter12 Nice )
1
Yes but you can't use the latest versions of Adobe products that way. I heard that cracked versions works better tho. Not tested myself.
1
@DarkSoul-ds2 "Not easily"
1
It could! But you also can disable scripting in your PDF viewer and you will be safe! ;-)
1
That was a good joke about Russians that DON"T want to create an Orwellian wasteland out of the internet! Maybe, that's because I'm too close to Russia? ;-)
1
A good question :-)
1
@TheJackiMonster Valid point
1
True!
1
xD - What is that! - Shit! We lost him!
1
Most people are too lazy and stupid to care about that ;-)
1
Ummm... * Buy laptop with any Linux distro (so you wouldn't pay for Windows license) * Install any Windows that you want to! ;-)
1
Or just disable it manually ;-) Be a normie and pay or be a poweruser and do whatever you want - not them
1
There are other browsers already ;-) And they exist for a loooong time
1
Why not try to boot from a flash drive and format it that way? ;-)
1
ZorinOS is a thing for a long time ;-)
1
Google how to find similar pictures ;-)
1
Very useful data indeed ;-)
1
xD
1
Don't do it for free ;-)
1
@madbruv Start writing one ;-)
1
Use alternative Youtube Apps that just don't have adds ;-)
1
@peeboo I would recommend to INSTALL Linux on Usb Flash instead on using Live. It's easy! * Make one Flash drive "Live USB" (you already have that) * Use it to install Linux on second USB flash drive. Just make sure that bootloader is also on the second USB drive. * DONE! Now you have a normal installation on your second USB drive :-)
1
In crypto circles - yes it is.
1
Tails all the way! More secure and faster
1
@CockatooDude +1
1
Most likely. It's Arch ;-)
