@PterippiGaming Let's hope :-)
1
Look at the top of the screen ;-)
1
@Raccoonov And the tweakers that disable that shit! A real battle :-)
1
Theoretically - yes. You just can't legally distribute it.
1
Bitlocker warnes you if you are trying to save your key on the encrypted drive
1
Easy: * Windows 11 updates * Bitlocker enables itself. User have 0 clues. * Windows 11 borks with next update * User tries to backup data but system drive is encrypted. It looses all that it has there. Unless it used Microsoft Account - it has a backup key ;-)
1
;-)
1
It is awesome! Especially if you are at least a little bit tech savvy ;-)
1
@1pcfred 100% true!
1
And even more ZorinOS than Deepin DE ;-)
1
Depends on the user. That forces powerusers to backup their data and check is Bitlocker on after any big update. Or just delete it.
1
Make sure that BitLocker is not enabled on your external drive tho ;-) About "Winmdows 10 end of life" - it will not explode or something! It will just became more easy hackable with time.
1
"What's an ad?" - asked by an Adblock Plus gang ;-)
1
True But it's Open Sourced ;-)
1
The day Ad Block no longer works... I will start using uBlock Origin I fixed it for you ;-)
1
The {white} guy The "white" guy The 'white' guy The (white) guy The [white] guy
1
Russian Tor nodes were blocked from Tor for suspicious activity ;-)
1
You will sleep forever then ;-)
1
I'm not using it xD I use Windows 10 Enterprise with some heavy tweaking ;-)
1
@MyouKyuubi Tweakers are a thing ;-)
1
Never backuped anything? Why?
1
@LTon07 Oh shit!
1
... but then happened Cyberpunk 2077. They released it year before it was ready. PS4 and Xbox One version were not playable at all! Do you think they didn't knew that? ;-) Game is fixed now. And I even bought and played it.
1
Google that.
1
Read about their new owners ;-)
1
Google Search for almost anything Yandex for image searching
1
95% of people here: what is hanime? Me: Ha-ha! They can't get it because i"m a Guest there ;-)
1
Agree :-)
1
All your questions are easily googlable ;-)
1
;-)

@Aemilindore google.com -> "how to block internet access using iptables"
1
Are you OK with Snap overtaking everything on Ubuntu? I would suggest Pop_OS instead of Ubuntu for that reason. Of course that's just an advice ;-) 100% agree with "why to suffer with all of that?". It's a good way to learn new things for a Linux user but for beginners?.. I think it's too much.
1
Almost ANY program do! Install Wireshark and be surprised ;-)
1
Better use something more neutral ;-)
1
Only WIn11
1
Good luck watching Youtube then ;-)
1
Yes. But you will miss new features. Using Firewall to deny Internet access is a smarter solution ;-)
1
@not hing True. But it's harder ;-)
1
This: * Windows 11 updates * Bitlocker enables itself. User have 0 clues. * Windows 11 borks with next update * User tries to backup data but system drive is encrypted. It looses all that it has there. Unless it used Microsoft Account - it has a backup key ;-)
1
Windows 10 runs fine for me since 2015 - what am I doing wrong? :-)
1
@wolo I'm doing both :-) If I don't like something - I just change it with a tweaker. I don't really care about EULA ;-) You may think that I just disabled Updates - but that is not true. I'm on v10.0.19043.1081 right now.
1
@wolo Agree. Even with tweakers you still have to fight with the system. Linux is much more friendly with that! About Start menu - try OpenShell. About OneDrive - it can be deleted but it will return after some updates. Because of course it does! Microsoft can't let us miss it :-) Cortana could be disabled or even deleted. But you could set Updates to manual so it will update only when you have time for that. You may have time for that once per month or even more rare. Windows 10 without tweaks is just shit. With tweaks is kinda ok. Not great. Small tip: if Windows can't update for some reason - set all disabled services to "Manual" and run "sfc /scannow" - that really helps. If you can't update to the next big version - use Update Assistant. I get used to that strange behavior. Linux has it's own strange things. So I use both But still mostly Windows.
1
@wakematta True. But this is a "take your poison" situation: * Google Play programs that spies on you OR * Alternatives but you have to check them with your antivirus
1
Guys! Noone would do anything with him! Why? Because normies don't care about privacy. Like... at all! He is not a threat for anyone.
1
It's Alpine Linux manually debloated
1
Just google "Windows Update Minitool". Thank me later ;-)
1
The letter is a standard one
1
@terrydaktyllus1320 Freedom of speech? No? :-)
1
@BrunodeSouzaLino Linux has: * Linux From Scratch book * ArchWiki
1
Write your own app then ;-) It's not impossible
