Population in general is far from being smart. Especially in economics...

There is an idea that everyone would get some shares in different companies so they could at least buy something. Just an idea.
15
@atra7812 True! But the higher ups would be replaced LAST ;-)
3
100% true!
2
For 5-10 years, I think. Why robots can't fix other robots? ;-)
2
@jamesgravil9162 True. But they are not needed there - no education, no relevant professions... Some will survive. Other - rest in piece! Evolution.
1
And not for long they would exist ;-)
1
Agree.
1
Yep! We have to adapt to a new economy ;-)
1
Agree. Kinda. How would you make money in future? ;-) Be hired - but why? Are you faster than a robot? Can you work 24/7 without being paid? Robot can! Your family and friends would value you. But other people and company - wouldn't. That's the biggest puzzle that we should resolve...
1
@hyrocoaster I should think about that ;-)
1
Unrealistic: why rule over people that give you no value? ;-)
1
As for a big company: Why employ a robot that was build and programmed by who_knows_who, when you could buy a robot that was produced by a big company that is specialized in robots and on the market for 10+ years? ;-)
1
100% agree! The problem is - who would pay for that? Those 1% that still have an income? ;-)
1
Would you have money to buy robots? Maybe a rent will do the job ;-)
1
I would say, 4-5 years
1
@ankk98 GPT-4 was used to improved itself! So when we would get GPT-5 - it will improve itself even better that 4 did!
1
But why provide us with something? What we could give in exchange? ;-)
1
So I could do work for others while they do work for me? Why wouldn't I use a robot to do the same job faster and cheaper?
1
Seeing world as Good and Evil is pretty childish ;-) AI is a tool - it could (and would!) be used for many different things. Beneficial for some people and non-beneficial for others.
1
Someone has to buy all those goods. Most people would be replaced by robots that can work 24/7 with NO salary and NO complains ;-)
1
Agree. But we are not talking about a war - we are talking about "why should I hive humans when I could buy/rent robots that work better, faster and cheaper in the long run?" ;-)
1
What's the difference between Au and USA?
1
In my country (Moldova) we still have human cashiers and automated ones. Old people use classic ones.
1
AI is neutral. It doesn't care whould you live or die. It wouldn't try to kill you BUT it wouldn't care if you would live either.
1
True! ;-)
1
So you think an AI could not be a lawyer? ;-)
1
VPN may help ;-)
1
Can heavy machinery drive itself - no Can computers do you work themselves - no Can cars or planes drive/fly themselves - no Can AI work themselves - no. But in a few years (10 max) - it would ;-)
1
7:26 - now you can click on it ;-)
1
100% agree! Most people are scared that AI would build an army and enslave them while in reality most people would just loose their jobs and get a UBI from government that only helps them to pay the bills. Not that cinematic ;-)
1
But robots don't desire anything ;-)
1
Sorry to hear that! It's like making the gun to be shot by it later.
1
@Wanderer2035 ;-)
1
2030 is pretty logical ;-)
1
It was. But does it ended humanity? ;-)
1
@thetayz72 Well... I can agree with that!
1
Good luck with that! Ask Russian or Chinese did that worked for them in past ;-)
1
Agree but... Let's say you want a bread. Why would someone provide you with one? You would say: "because I can fix their car!". But in the future, robots could fix their car much faster and cheaper than you. So why provide you with anything when you can't give anything in exchange? Why provide me with anything? I can't answer that question.
1
@klavczarkalafan4191 I agree about humans being social by nature. So let's hope that our society would still function when humans would not be needed ;-)
1
You will se that in your livetime ;-) AGI would be in 2030 (maybe the basic one) and by 2050 the world will be completely changed xD
1
@dansands8140 Add to your works "100% created by a human!". Make a YouTube video where you show the whole process in timelapse ;-)
1
Yep!
1
AI agents themselves ;-) Google "GPT-4 training itself".
1
Good idea but... Why and how?
1
Why? Nurse-type of robots would be expensive? Hard to produce?
1
AI is not just a text prediction. ChatGPT is just ONE of many. There are music generators, image generators, code writers - whatever you desire. Return back after a year and you would be surprised even more ;-)
1
Yep - 2030 ;-)
1
Ask it to provide links and quotes.
1
Even for a humans! Yes, I'm talking to you, random man that blocks the path with your stupid cart in a supermarket! ;-)
1
* AI is not Open Source anymore starting from GPT-3 ;-) * You will have the choice: pay MUCH more money for human created food/items or pay much less for robot created. And you would say "I will pay more!". Sure, if you are rich ;-)
