Does that minimum even exist? ;-)
2
ANd we have AA games and indie games! ;-)
2
That could be a good law to make!
2
Not exactly ;-) AA games and indies are still a thing
1
Nah! People are too impatient for that! Not a problem for me but a VERY big problem for other people
1
Google this: "How do you save a game on DiRT 2 offline" and have fun! ;-)
1
Any examples? ;-)
1
100% agree!
1
You can pirate then ;-)
1
@dimanarinull9122 I watched the video, actually. Online-only games can't be pirated. But most singleplayer and even some multiplayer games could be preserved legally or even pirated. I mostly play SP games so 95% of all games that I even played - I could still play them! ;-)
1
You CAN play Star Wars Galaxies as far as I know ;-) Google that!
1
It's not we have indie games now! ;-)
1
@GamerFromJump True! AAA developers could just make a big world, good graphics and people would just buy it! Indies can't do that! So they are making smaller but more interesting games. Of course most of them are just making another zombie survival but we could just ignore those ;-)
1
Agree!
1
It's still like that ;-) Look at AA games or indies
1
I am enjoying it! ;-) * I mostly play indie games now * Try to buy as much games on GOG instead of Steam * I'm fine with pirating a game if it gets taken from Steam/GOG
1
So true! And if that game would be taken from Steam and GOG - I can just pirate it! ;-) I already bought it so I don't feel ashamed in any way!
1
That's true only for online games like MMORPGs. THere is nothing hard to preserve something like Baldur's Gate 3 - just buy it on GOG, sownload it on your external HDD
1
What about Larian or CD Project Red? Their games work perfectly offline! ;-)
1
@blob22201 True! Even more reasons to like them ;-)
1
And who would represent that community? Let's say renting that server infrastructure cost them only 200$ per year - who would pay that now? ;-)
1
@clericneokun True! So you have to trust the publisher first ;-)
1
True! But that will not just happen ;-)
1
It never went away ;-)
1
Why would they go down tho? They make millions of $ every day! ;-)
1
Gaming industry is not only AAA games ;-)
1
Find a pirate version ;-)
1
More modern solution: * Buy a 4+ Tb external HDD * Buy a game on GOG * Download an installer on your external HDD
1
What's wrong with GOG tho? ;-)
