  8. The Stanford Prison Experiment has largely been debunked in the last few years. Most participants eventually admitted that they were acting their assigned roles all along. Going through the motions of guard/prisoner: but staying in control of their core beliefs and simply giving the experimenter what they thought their professor wanted.
