You are right. The report was irresponsible because it wasn't balanced. It only provided a very partial and skewed view of Pregabalin use.

"am gainst killin...so am gonna do me some killin, yessiree, bob!"

They weren't going as fast as the bike - because the bike was half-a-mile away from the police van when it crashed. So the police van slowed (which is what you seem to be demanding) or the bike sped up/or entered a close or short-cut area the van couldn't negotiate. Either way, the boys died because they were oh so eager to get away from the hot fuzz. I wonder why?

@scaryjoker Steam is water vapour. Water vapour is water.
5
Some good news for a change. Boy, we need some good news in these dark days.
5
General strike? Watching this news item (and seeing that very busy, very colourful calendar graphic for December)...well, it already looks like we have a coordinated general strike situation on our hands. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
5
And to all the army scabs out there. Ambulance drivers do a lot more than just drive, you know? Good luck.
5
I was trapped in a woman's body once. It was great fun.
5
"we are all going to die..." she says, smiling beatifically...
5
Great point.
5
And there was me thinking it was the content of your character that was important...

I agree. They have broken their own brand by their outrageous and illegal actions. But they were too greedy and stupid to even see that eventuality happening. P&O Boss never even pretended to feel sorry or guilty about it. I wonder how much severance pay he'll get when he's eventually and inevitably sacked?
5
He played the 'sick and elderly mother' sympathy card. Seem to recall a similar scene in the cinema toilets in Midnight Cowboy 1969.
5
@sugarsnap1000 Are you gaslighting me right now? Wait. I'm not being facetious or rude (honest) - I'm just demonstrating how we all worry and wonder in this modern world. We don't trust ourselves and our own motives. No one trusts anyone or anything anymore, I think. We are all taught to be distrustful and cynical and detached and insincere. Male vs female, rich against poor, black against white. At the end of the day, we eventually have to start trusting and believing in each other. Even if some people let you down or betray you.
5
@sugarsnap1000 I think it's rather sad. I used to like Harry. But if he's got genuine grievances or real concerns about racism or mental health issues then why lie about it? The public will eventually find out about all the untruths and they will run out of sympathy and patience with him. If really horrible stuff did actually happen to Harry and Meghan then they don't have to lie or make stuff up all the time. It's that simple.
5
She left for the good of the party. (i.e. the polis will be paying a visit to Nicola and her bank account any time soon)
5
I think he was trying to say: 'we didn't do our job properly.' What he should have said was: 'we didn't do our job.' The bare minimum the public should expect from the police is to be protected by the police...from the police.
5
"...paint the roses red she said..."
5
Pen and paper.

@fuckbankers same here

@3dagedesign That study/experiment has now largely been debunked. Most of the participants later claimed they were acting all the time: simply giving the professors what they thought the professors wanted.
4
This isn't about tanks only. This is about Germany's addiction to Russian gas and fuel.
4
no one wants to leave the police or the military without guns. stop it.
4
what are you smoking? gimme some
4
'The End of History', published 30 years ago. When is the sequel coming out? You know, 'Eh, Unexpectantly, History Keeps On Going...'
4
One can provide oneself with a nutritious meal for just 30p, I hear.

modern slavery in action. lovely.

stop crowbarring STOP THE BOATS into every conversation

Many people in the UK would welcome the return of the death penalty for treason and murder, etc. I wouldn't, personally, but lots of food for thought, no? One state telling another state who they can and cannot kill? Has the British government ever criticised or proscribed the USA for the amounts or methods of state-sanctioned execution that goes on in the land of the free?
4
'branch and root' Isn't the phrase supposed to be 'root and branch'?
4
lol lol lol
4
Because we gotta fix the mess we made in the first place.
4
What are you apologising for? You use the word but you're not sorry - so why say so?
4
@paulau6698 That's a long word for someone on minimum wage who's jealous of anyone with a real career and prospects.
4
Gove's mock anger.🤣😂
4
She's really there to provide balance. Her questions were easily swatted aside by the bright young man.
4
@guitargirlutube People are allowed to have differences of opinion. And both sides of that opinion divide are allowed to think themselves right and the other wrong. I'm a man but I would never attempt to speak for all men. I would be seen as foolish for even trying to. What you really meant to say was: "guitargirlutube dismisses your opinion because guitargirlutube wasn't asking for your opinion and guitargirlutube doesn't agree with your opinion anyway even if guitargirlutube was asking for your opinion which guitargirlutube certainly wasn't." Now it's your turn to write...idk, something like: "don't tell guitargirlutube what to do!" And then swear at me, childishly.
4
no. no.
4
Wow. Turns out convicts don't make good soldiers. Who woulda thunk it?

stop crowbarring STOP THE BOATS into every conversation
4
@Jay January Well said. Some of the comments on here are disgusting.
4
Does every Channel Four news story about asylum seekers have to mention our native homeless folk as well - just to provide balance to please all the sarcastic idiots in these comments? wtf
4
every time Blair counts his money the devil grows a little stronger
4
Do jobless people exist in the West, South and East of the UK? Why, when the subject is unemployment, does Channel 4 always have to head North? Blatant stereotyping, I think. It's beneath them.
4
Millions of people take this drug quite safely and responsibly for anxiety, nerve pain and neurological disorders. I do. Like many drugs, it is addictive and withdrawals are pretty bad for some people. Stopping use must be tapered very slowly and no one should stop taking Pregabalin all of a sudden. I'm not denying your experience but we must keep things in perspective.
4
beergate was bullspit
4
Sadly, yes. Surprising? Sadly, no.
4
@Blade4Life76 And Soon the Darkness (1970)?
4
Higher wages are not driving inflation. Not in this case. Inflation has been high since Brexit or longer, and is only now startng to creep down. And wages have been on the floor for 12 years...
4
@wlsn77 They are still working people. All working people, of whatever class or caste, should stand together in solidarity.
