@R L "work for free"?!? way to go to double down on your own idiocy.

Those pay rises equal a real-terms pay cut because wages are not keeping level with inflation. Not the nurse's fault. The Tories are now the party of high borrowing and high spending - not Labour. Nurses risked their lives every day during the pandemic - don't we owe them a real living wage? Don't get me start on the PPE debacle...

elderly population. people living longer in more numbers. old age brings with it many more debilitating conditions.

they want more pay as well as more staff and better conditions. they haven't made any secret of that fact.

"The germ theory of disease is the currently accepted scientific theory for many diseases. It states that microorganisms known as pathogens or "germs" can lead to disease. These small organisms, too small to be seen without magnification, invade humans, other animals, and other living hosts." The common cold and influenza are real and they are real killers. Millions of frail and elderly people suffer and die from these comparatively innocuous diseases every year.

UK is bankrupt.

unless it's a search or a chase or a pursuit...

@R L By your logic the nurses might as well be paid in blood oranges. "Sorry, you can't strike ever because you are killing someone if you do, now eat your blood orange and get back to work you lazy blood-orange slaves!"

go bother someone else

I don't want to fight workers.
1
Do you want people to die?

27k starting salary.

@twinks2. I never said other workers hadn't risked their lives too. And that fact doesn't invalidate the nurse's cause, does it? If you feel overlooked, blame this terrible government of liars, cheats and tax dodgers!
1
@twinks2. I'm glad you don't feel overlooked. Congratulations on the award. I would strike for better pay and conditions and to protest the chronic underfunding of the NHS by this Tory government these long 12 years. Each to our own way, of course.
1
@twinks2. wouldn't disagree with you...except, perhaps, concerning 'protesting changes nothing'. I'm afraid we will have to agree to disagree on that particular point.
1
Your precious Tory government doesn't agree with you, seemingly. They were clapping the nurses along with everyone else during the pandemic.

@gweilo965 "noodle arms like Mr burns" Love that image, gotta say. Bravo!

@gweilo965 you must be to the right of Genghis Khan 😂

unless it's carrot cake. yuck!

Labour party front bench is not even allowed to stand on a picket line. Don't talk crackers.
1
@blacklisted4885 It's true. Just ask Labour backbench MPs who have joined the picket lines. Seems to me the unions are not getting their money's worth.
