  4. I don't think it's that important to 'be the best'. If at all. It's the wrong way to remember and think about great people. Is Hemmingway better than Zola? Is Eliot better than Keats? Is Rothko better than Manet? Is Lennon better than Macca? It's a foolish activity to think this way. Great people are great in their own individual great way. That's all. And also, in regards to all sports personalities. They are not politicians, they are not MPs, or senators, or members of congress. Sport is their job of work, and the best are well-paid (or overpaid, in a lot of cases) for their efforts. Of course, everyone is allowed to hold political views. But one shouldn't live in the expectation that these people know how to run a country or how an overarching neoliberal economic policy works.
