  3.  @julienckjm7430  , in essence what you are saying is “To hell with our neighboring nation’s sovereignty. Their our buffer zone!” You’re absolutely correct in Russia’s ability to reach US targets. Russia and the US are, in fact, very close neighbors. Shooting missiles across the Bering Strait and reaching each other’s capitols still isn’t possible (unlikely, I should say), but I think those Russian subs that are routinely monitored off US’s shores could reach Washington, DC. I think there are few states that are willing to partner with Russia because Putin can’t be trusted. Also, most nations have learned that it’s cheaper and easier to respect others’ sovereignty and prosper through trade and cooperation.
