My wife works for JPMorgan Chase, and has worked in banking for over twenty-five years. The woman is correct. There’s more to the story than Farage is saying. Edit add: Banking regulations require things of banks, like monitoring for fraud or money laundering, and then alerting authorities when any is detected. They’re also required to not tip off the suspected customers that the bank is on to them. The banks can, however, limit their services so as to cut down the risk of losing money on their end.

@fireofhislove3395 , we’re not rolling in Nigel Farage-level dough, but we’re comfortable. And we have banking services, so we’ve got that going for us.

@MrHobbesandlocke , if he triggered a AMLS alert the bank had no choice. It was just following the law. And if his balance truly dropped below the minimum threshold, then the bank decided to treat him as they would any other customer. That’s life.

@MrHobbesandlocke , all banks are subjected to the same regulations. And, for the record, my left JPMChase a few years ago and now works for a small regional bank, and she never was in a senior management decision-making position. Most problems in life are created by the small handful of people in power. Put the blame where it belongs.
