A moment of silence for the VW 2.5l engine. As that thing was draining full bore I was thinking "What's the capacity of the catch drain?" Now we know....OUCH! Only the customer's wallet was harmed during this video.

Glad you're back at work and feeling better Ray! Fun stuff these videos....learn some, laugh a lot, hopefully no one gets hurt...and the phone doesn't ring too much! haha. Look forward to the next video!

The real problem with parts markup is...no one explains it like you just did. Nicely done Rainman Ray!! Makes total sense and I want my local shop/tech to make money, otherwise...why are they there? LOL

It's not a real hurricane if you aren't having fun. Stay safe Ray!

BMW stopped making quality anything back 20 years ago, when they figured out that if you suck, it's ok. So glad Toyota/Lexus doesn't fully embrace that yet....but they also suck too (Supra? oh wait, BMW). Haha. Nicely done Ray! That regulator is not long for this world at only 2 months old.

Just another mileage stamp to me Ray....but I lived in Salem, Mass for a year...guess I must be a warlock? Haha. Secret powers. Nah, that was 36 years ago....and I had a 45 mile commute each way to work. Now I have a 35 foot commute. Haha.

Flashbacks to when I did my own repair work back in the 80's. Screwed up a firing order on a "tune up" of a Plymouth Fury (Chrysler Cordoba clone) with the v8 (not sure which). You get the order wrong, the car does not enjoy that. So then I got a raise...and started paying professionals like you Ray to work on my rides. My sanity is almost intact. LOL

Wow, had no idea how much work is needed for a proper reseal of the spark/coils and valve cover gaskets. Not looking forward to paying for that in the next couple years on my Lexus RX350. But cool I've seen a lot of the work now...sure the hybrid might have some extra stuff or less stuff depending...but the job is similar. Plus it's fun to learn/watch/listen to your cool repairs!

Nice purchase Ray!

Welcome to We Have No Clue parts store! How can we not help you? Haha. Well, not haha...since you didn't get done what you needed done. Monday will be better.....right? RIGHT!

You shouldn't get attached to these cars/trucks Ray....lol Seems I'm one of those weird people who when told/shown of issues like that, I'd actually get them repaired....unless I thought the price was nuts...course I don't visit those shops anymore. Haha. On to the next one!!

Sing it...."Some people.....are stupid....this Saab guy...is stupid....and now he's got....3 broken cars and.....no place for them." Yeah, I'm not a singer either. LOL Nice move Ray! Always be nice, until it's time to not be nice. I had a friend do that to me on a job reference. He bad mouthed me big time so they wouldn't hire me. Little did he know he was talking to a long term friend of mine....and she told me what he did. I did get the job....and removed the "friend" from my job references.

Improvements....it's what Rainman Ray does! Very cool!

And there it is, Rainman Ray's Awesome Repairs has it's first customer! Congrats!!

Yeah, take that Lexus!! Glad I don't have one of THOSE in the garage.....checks garage....oh my god!!! Who put a 2015 RX350 in my garage? Haha. If/when my radiator goes, I'll be extra nice to my local shop tech....or the dealer until July 2023...as it's still under warranty. Thanks for the laughs...and info. Maybe I'll share your video with them?

Who keeps hiring all these idiot engineers? LOL Spider design....sure, maybe somewhere else. Bet they were a "contractor engineer" who got paid by the hour to design it.

100 miles of milkshake. Bummer!!

Scammer Steve....I never answer those calls...but maybe...one of these days, I will....just to have some fun. As usual, good video and a workout there Ray! Now that Rogue can drive with their horn again.

I drove a 1981 Dodge Omni 024 for a year back in the mid 1980's. Identical to this engine, except for the chrome intake cover. Don't think it came from Dodge as chromed...but it looks cooler that way. Nice to see the distributor cover so the car works in the rain. My 81 024 left me stranded too often....so I dumped it after a year.

Brilliant EVIL plan Ray!! I hope soon, there is a Rainman Ray's Auto Clinic near me...as long as it runs under your tutelage! Even if it's remote from Florida. Haha. Makes me wonder how many times I may have been double charged for labor? Oh well...something to keep an eye out for.

Thanks Ray....as the owner of a 2015 Lexus RX350....I wondered what was under the plastic. LOL I never look under there.

That was a major design flaw that you just adjusted to the proper length in order to execute a major money savings. Yes, return the vehicle and mention "We saved you $500 by not having to spend 4 hours removing/replacing the entire dash". Those stupid OD buttons...no one ever uses them unless bored at a light. HAHA. Too much time spent in the late 90's driving the company van. Add the total to serious $$$$ saved for the customer! On to the next one!

I enjoy most of your repair actions....but this one is close to home....got a 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Limited in the garage.....had it over 20 years since 20 miles, now 120k miles. Hope I don't have to replace the fuel pump...but nice to know what is involved. I agree Chrysler engineers should have put that fuel pump access under the rear seat. They also should have put the battery somewhere else too.

Come on people....if you left a negative review over there....please go and delete it. I get the annoyance...but no worries for Ray...he's got this covered and mentioned he was planning to leave in the last video.

@randomschmo5778 I wouldn't be surprised that the quality in Germany is higher. It shouldn't be, but I've been watching too much Hoovie's Garage to think that anymore. haha.

@carsonac4163 I bet you didn't mix your coolant with the engine oil yet. Haha. I agree, they are great engines.
