  1. Lots of awesome memories for me here with the old Boston Garden. My Dad got us 2 Bruins season tickets in 1979-80....so I got to watch most of Ray Bourque's rookie season from 3 rows to the left of the Bruins goal. Cool stuff for a 12 year old! In 2003, I took part in "Bruin for a Day" deal the Bruins had. The package came with "parking in the players lot". Which for me, was center ice at the old Garden. Perfect for my 1989 Dodge Daytona that looked like crap!

  2. Interesting to note that ALL the Halas family revenue comes from the Chicago Bears. So taking time to build a stadium will be a drain on their cash flow for sure. My guess is a properly done stadium could bee from $500 to 1 billion. That includes a roof, because if they don't...I get the "outdoor Chicago winter" is a plus...but no SuperBowl if you don't have a roof. NFL learned that the hard way in New Jersey. So the question is, will they be able to run the Bears AND finance a new stadium? The previous renovations were done by the city, Bears only had to deal with the relocation costs to Champaign and back when the new "hilarious" field was ready. On the city's renderings? I like them, problem is...the Chicago Fire (soccer not the tv show) is ALREADY a tenant...and they probably don't sell out the place. XFL? Maybe attract a local university? Who knows...but the future isn't bright.
