If the airline has questions for you at your "connecting" hub, tell them you feel sick and go to the restroom. Then just leave with your carry on bag. If they try any crap...tell them they got paid for that seat, so they can stick it. I've never done skiplagging, but if I did, I wouldn't go into any room with airline employees....just leave. They have no authority to question you.
