  1. The flight attendants should have removed the morbidly obese gentleman before takeoff and rebooked him after seeing that he was taking up 1 1/2 seats. Unfortunately, only Southwest actually practices this and they are trained to see it long before the passenger gets on the plane. Sure this video is 5 years old, but the problem is current. The man standing? Again, it's a flight attendant issue and they should never have been allowed to takeoff like that. The whole crew should be blamed and the man should have gotten not only a full refund, but a free flight with that. No way American would let this stand now that they own US Airways.
