habit #1) live in reality, not isolate yourself from it.

so when all the people who were saying this said it, they were insane. when TED says it, it's legit.

you dismiss all logic, or appeal to reality, or universal truths, and make it all about him. 10+10=20 is not my opinion. I am merely the messenger. I bow to evidence and logic, and am always open to it as well.

what a good talk, considering it was delivered by machine

amazing. just amazing. government: step aside, and let voluntary self-interest do its thing.

Right??? I just said that to my Russian friend. She has a heavy accent, but her command of English is masterful

you actually don't need tunnels or anything. we could just build our cities to not be car-centric, and instead give priority to public transit in traffic rules, get rid of single family zoning regulations so that we can build multiplexes 2-5 stories high with light businesses on the 1st floor, so that you can get most things without having to drive in the first place. netherlands, japan, korea, and most countries do this. USA and Canada built car-centric, and cars are not scalable.

entire first half is details not so relevant to the big point.

Now clear up the same for anarchy. Anarchists don't want chaos, order, etc. They just don't believe in people ruling over people.

@rafb145 check your assumptions.

@TheLyricalWrdsmth that's what all religions claim too, so saying atheists have a impulsive need to be right is so dumb and so one-sided. it takes two to tango. You're also claiming some sort of truth on them and saying they're wrong and you're rightm maybe you're the one with the compulsive need to feel right. Arguing what is right is not in and of itself bad. and to arbitrarily cherry pick one side while multiple sides all doing the same thing is so dumb.
1
Talking about atheism ends up exposing how dumb religious people are - how bad they are at thinking and debating. Which explains why they believe in religion.

French is right in between English and Spanish, since latin created both spanish and french, and english borrowed a ton from french. japanese and korean have very similar structure, but very different vocab other than chinese-derived vocab.

try to listen to something better than CNN or any other mainstream american news. there are lots of great tv shows and movies.

you're thinking too concretely. It's not about that. It's about the concept and paradigm that autonomous vehicles is just an example of. It's the connection between the autonomous vehicle and the concept that matters. everyone already knows about autonomous vehicles. it's about how you see it.

Educate your children; don't send them to public school.

I have a passionate dislike for this style and structure of prose.

32:00 When we have a widely-used conventionnon-for a non-physical handshake, that will be a hugely symbolic event that we've moved into the technological age as a culture. The Spock 3-finger sign already foresaw this need in video conferencing.

government is always the wealthy. it isn't captured by the wealthy. you need to cure yourself of the delusion that government can be good.
1
does this method scale to all kinds of other characters besides a handful of ones that happen to fit the rule nicely?
