  4.  @eragonruler  agreed that left and liberal are very different things. but now, California is very left, not liberal. the california and the left regulate plenty, and tha'ts the source of most of their problems. the left are quick to ban, make hard rules and not look back at whether their policies were effective or detrimental. this runs all the way through to the soviet union and every communist state as well.

  11. it's dying because it's run by the woke left. - the people being in favor of continued lockdowns - 10 year retroactive taxation, even if you leave the state. WTF! - insistence on housing regulations and individual approval, which is also slow AF btw, preventing housing from being built, exacerbating the housing crisis. - not enforcing property rights, allowing people to rob. - sexist/woke bs policies like mandating 50% women on boards - woke commissars all over companies, canceling and censoring everyone along the lines of woke ideology even at the workplace

  15. this. it's mostly the blind leftist politics and mismanagement california could adopt and buy israeli drip irrigation systems which are INSANELY water efficient, but they don't. they give preferential water rights to farmers and the likes of nestle, who use way way more water than citizens, then tell citizens to conserve. they could allow more logging so that the forests are put to good use and reduce the impact of wildfires, but in their dumb environmental misguided ideology, they heavily restrict logging. they could institute better public transit to achieve their carbon emission goals and reduce demand on gasoline and reducing traffic, which every Californian knows too well, but they don't.
