  1. The metaphor of thoth's pill is to vague. If you were to define "thoth's pill" what would it be? Writing? The benefits and drawbacks of writing? The cultural and mental consequences of writing? What does it mean for thoth's pill to wear off? Define your metaphors. You hardly mention it, then 20 minutes into the video you ask "or is thoth's pill wearing off?". No one remembers what that means. Plus you've added another meaning of wearing off, not just the pill per se.

  3. I think the explanation of balam being an example of semantic and phonetic writing being side by side isn't very clear.
