Lol. Debunker debunked.

The launch instability is a lot like criticizing SpaceX for failing to land the rockets. It's an engineering problem that can be solved by good execution and a lot of smart thinking... It doesn't make ti a dumb idea. The company knows about the sudden change in air density. They know about the irregular forces that the launch would cause. Solutions can be developed.

Just gonna leave this here (By real engineering) https://youtu.be/yrc632oilWo

@bcshelby4926 spinlaunch doesn't accelerate instantaneously. You speed up the rotation over time.

There's a 2 door chamber, regarding your seal break.

The bigger the radius, the less of a problem most of problems pointed out in the comments are. g force, bearings, etc.
3
Did you say the same about reusable rockets?

There are two doors. What you're seeing is the outer one. The top of the chimney on the snail. The inner door is at the bottom of the chimney, right up against the circular disk part of the snail.

Watch spinpaunch's own video instead of a debunking video. They address it. There are two doors, just like any sci-fi spaceship decontamination chamber.

I don't think this proves this is a dumb idea. Just that this company made some major errors and have a long road ahead.

Got a solution for you. Stop being a silly goose.

@leparfumdugrosboss4216 that's beyond stupid.

@bails13 that's what support heroes that cast entangle are for xp

@artemirrlazaris7406 laser is not a fuel source. If you're thinking about solar sails that is miniscule force added up over a LONG time. Not suitable for escaping gravitational fields.

Why isn't it possible for the rocket to have active compensating control systems much like SpaceX rockets when landing?
1
Ever hear of supersonic missiles? That's what these basically are launching.

Great thinking!

Quality comment.

By your logic, SpaceX reusable rockets are impossible, and are ticking time bombs too. Material fatigue, precise controls needed, etc. Once you figure out, and can get the variance consistently within a biunded range, you're good. Just like how SpaceX rockets failed to land several times before and now they land consistently pretty much all the time Of course you have to still do maintenance and do inspections to detect abnormally advanced wear and fatigue.

Spinlaunch themselves addressed this issue. Have acounterwifht and launcht aht counterweight a single half spin later. Tolerable imbalance.

Thankyou

Those are engineering issues, not grounds for it being an inherently dumb or impossible idea. That's like saying you created a centrifuge to enrich uranium but the centrifuges didn't separate isotopes at all. Ya no duh. It's not that easy. You have to do some amazing engineering to pull it off. Doesn't mean using centrifuges to separate isotopes is a dumb idea. That's literally how utaniuk is enriched, and even though everyone knows the physics of making nukes, not every country pulls it off because of this engineering challenge, aside from political pressure on top of it

The paper machete looking seal is the outer door. There's an inner door as well. Kind of like the dual door chambers you see on every spaceship and submarine

Spinlaunch is to reduce launch costs and pollution. Those are very low priority for government militaries. Government militaries can already do everything spinlaunch does with existing ballistic missile tech. With much less refractory period, vulnerability to disruption (i.e. blowing up the launcher). You can simply load the missile onto any launcher or ship. It's like a loaded gun rather than carrying around a fragile, expensive, immobile trebuchet.
