as scuffed as the end result was, MAN that is a lot of engineering. you can imagine an entire department just to develop, study, and test the fuel, let alone the stealth, aerodynamic, manufacturing, temperature cycling resilience, materials, GD&T, sourcing, CAD, safety, secrecy, politics, budgeting, pilot insurance, pilot training,... and so many i can't think of...

DTCO is a fancy term for talking to the client, and is a crutch solution.
While talking to the client is still necessary, and beneficial, it can and should be reserved for edge cases and critical design and wisdom, not holding their hand through the rote basics.
The fabs could have categorized and tagged each rule better as required, optional, and quantifying what the tradeoffs are for the optional ones.
Then they could make all this cataloguing searchable and self-explained via a simple web app, where the chip designers can reference, search, filter, sort rules easily by tag, and the quantified tradeoffs can be presented in a straightforward manner.
Then DTCO can focus on the questions that really matter, and be a source of feedback, which continually gets incorporated into improving the web app for more rules, deprecating rules, etc.

it's a recent thing in the last decade.
in the 90's, a community was an actual group of people that shared a lot together, or at least lived near each other.
today, just think of the word community as a synonym of the word "group". That 'group' is simply defined around some common trait that the one saying the word "community" wish to focus on - example: rap community, short community, gay community, etc.
they're not really a community - it's not like they all belong to the same club or even know each other. if they're into rap, short, gay, etc, people simply wish to imply that that group has some grievances or whatever, or wish to be taken more seriously by the speaker,.... so they just call it X community.
it's not actually a community.
the woke makes identity politics is crazy in america, and they just started this linguistic trend of calling everything community to push their identity politics.

every language will "wrap" or "chunk" their numbers by so many digits.
English and most of the European world chunks things by 3 (thousand, million, billion, etc), and so the highest number for each chunk you can get is hundred thousand, hundred million.
Over in east asia, they wrap by 4 digits, so 10,000 has its own word, and so the highest you can go in each chunk is 1000 10000.
This language simply wraps by 2 digits.
We can argue which integer to wrap by, is most practical and has the most optimal tradeoffs.
I would say 2 is too little, and 3 is an odd number, so counting gets weird when you get to really high digits.
I think 4 is best, since 5 would get a bit mindboggly, 4 is an even number, so things like 10^27 power is still easily divisible by 4, and most people can remember 4.
As you can see, it's kind of like a "byte". Byte size 2, 3, or 4.

Don't blame space programs. Blame government.
The space program is 1% of the US budget.
62% of the budget is medicare, socialsecurity, welfare, pensions - all things supposedly to help the poor, and doing such a shitty job.
Meanwhile, the debt is more than the yearly GDP, pushing us closer towards complete bankrupcy and sharp, massive currency devaluation, which will cause massive poverty.
Without government, we'd have so much prosperity, productivity, and human capital to perform hundreds of these kinds of experiments, and take care of the entire world's poor.
BLAME GOVERNMENT.

12:10 they keeping pushing the envelope and are never satisfied because wokeness REALLY is a -cult. woke tribes have ALL, literally ALL of the signs of a cult.
Binary thinking, isolating people from outsiders, demonizing/subverting logic in favor of dogma, redefining words, love-bombing newcomers and completely ostracizing/excommunicating you if you disbelieve, psychological emotional benefits baked into the ideology like welcomeness, purpose, identity, an enemy...
White straight capitalist male is the new original sin, where even if you become an "ally" it's never good enough, logic and science is the whiteness trying to brainwash you (devil trying to tempt you to make you sin), etc
Wokeness is basically a secular religion based on the Marxist template of class struggle. It's no different than Nazis demonizing Jews, Hutus demonizing Tutsi. etc....
which makes them super hypocritical, since demonizing groups based on ethnicity, race, etc is exactly what they say they are against, yet they're the ones who insist on doing it so hard.

this is how they operate - just changing shit in a very biased and skewed way.
it's just like how BLM silently and sneakily removed "being against the nuclear family" as part of their "our beliefs" page after it started getting called out, instead of making a public declaration of the change
obviously, being against the nuclear family was one of the core tenets of the communist manifesto.
and the BLM leaders said they were "trained marxists". So obviously why BLM would be against the nuclear family, something completely unrelated to cop and black violence, is obvious - it's communist.
And just think about what it means to be a "trained marxist" it isn't somenone who simply studied it, like "a trained physicists or a trained historian". Marxism inherently ties in activism, just like christianity does - it's not enough to believe it, you must promote, act, push it, and evangelize it. So being a trained marxist means you're trained in their tactics to promote marxism and communism. And seeing how BLM is agitating blacks with bullshit anecdotes highly publicized by the media, and pushing the narrative that the black group is oppressed by the white group is exactly the mirror copy of what Marxism frames working class vs bourgeois class. It fits like a glove, and marxism is being pushed on the cultural fronts like race, gender, etc instead of the economic class fronts, as classical marxism did. So what would you call that if not cultural marxism?
these people are gaslighting you when they deny it exists or call it a conspiracy theory.

The thing is, the ones against it, the woke, are following a Marxist ideology, where it's exactly communism, but instead of bourgeois "oppressing" proletariat, they think whites are oppressing blacks, males are oppressing females, etc. And therefore the "oppressed" group should and need to and are permitted to fight back in any dirty underhanded, anti-logical, anti-factual way possible.

The only reason Jesus gets mentioned here is because someone dubbed the Higgs Boson "the god particle". If it weren't for that nickname, Jesus would not get mentioned. It's just a nickname.
What it actually is, is an explanation for mass. How is that god-related in any way? How is quantum fluctuation, or electroweak forces any more or less god-like than mass is?
The key defining feature of religious thinking is unfalsifiability, and sheer willful and active avoidance of logic.
As one who was religious and continuously applied logic to it, i came up with all possible defenses, as one should when exploring, defending, purporting, or disproving any argument. Ultimately, I had to yield and concede that religion was not rational or even internally consistent.
Being nice and treating people according to universal principles is one thing. What passes for truth is another, namely subject to rational thinking, aka scientific method, aka anti-Platonic world of forms.
1
-
*****
It wasn't that I ignored basic logic. I held to it as best as I could. But I did not know it well.
Who ever gets taught epistemology or philosophy as kids? When do you ever really pick it up? The religious asserts were taken as postulates, but more strongly valid postulates. It inevitably seems more strong/valid when you're a kid told it since day 1, and when you don't know other important points and arguments.
Then comes the point of counterarguments. You can take it as it is. It's valid. But just as with any conflicting viewpoints and arguments, there is a digesting, clashing period, where you think through the implications, and test the validity, etc. Just like in court, or when debating a scientific hypothesis.
You have objections. you have coutnerarguments, "but how about this line of reasoning? but how do you explain that?" And there are many people who throw those kind of questions just to stifle them. I was genuinely asking them.
For instance, macroevolution. big jumps, how is it possible? Microevolution, sure, we observe that. Another: hydroplate theory. "Please rebut it" Another: why can't god, or certain initial conditions just be so? (upon further knowledge, the backwards regression of the hubble's constant points strongly to the big bang. interventions could defy that logic, but then you have to establish existence of god, the nature of god, which ultimately lack evidence, and must be discarded in favor of observable, reproducible constancy of the laws of physics.
Again, there is a lack of knowledge and exposure to proper thinking. I really always submitted myself to it, and gravitated towards the study of logic and philosophy, but many people don't, and don't ever really get exposed to philosophy.
After accepting the scientific method, as opposed to platonic world of forms or a god hypothesis that lead to corollaries very difficult if not to establish or test... after being exposed to many logical arguments... after actually having my rebuttal points addressed... after having time to truly digest it all... THEN one lets go.
I'm human just like everyone else, but from my observations, I'm rare in that I truly do seek and subject myself to logic. My rebuttals and questions and defenses weren't ever shit I threw at people to shut them up, or bury my brain in the sand. I started off in a bad starting point, lacked exposure and teaching to philosophy and logical thinking like most people, but I've now gotten to a point where epistemology, and philosophy is correctly approached. And everything follows from there. And if there is something that overturns that, it won't be on whim, emotional desire, or tolerating contradictions.
Thanks for asking. I think I got a lot out of explaining my side, which allowed me to identify how to approach and what goes on in others' minds. We're really all pretty similar, despite our differences. So presenting counter arguments, establishing epistemological postulates, and discussing the root beliefs, rather than their corollaries, doing it warmly, respecting the others' feelings and dignity, addressing their objections by continuing from their line of reasoning (and not only with arguments with new external postulates), and really discussing philosophy (i.e. how to think and the scientific method), and giving them time is the approach I conclude.

***** "it's just Will's personality. Faking this never comes off genuine, just obnoxious"
Exactly why this scoop is fascinating, but not very applicable to a wide audience.
I do, however, acknowledge that you can apply the principles, without actually being as boisterous.
For instance, if you enthusiastically support and affirm someone in a conversation, it really does give you more likelihood and an opening to say something to follow up. If there is competition to speak, say, in a job fair with a bunch of applicants around, yeah useful stuff.
Looking back, I think I hyperbolized and strawmanned this video a bit too much.

7:50 $1400 MINIMUM PRICE CONTROLS BY COERCIVE GOVERNMENT DICTATES! now it gets as low as $200, which i've taken myself, coast to coast, thanks to deregulation.
(btw, wendover, yes, one of the reasons is increased efficiency, but literally removing a minimum price is the bigger one. you also did not do a quantitative comparison of before and after efficiency increases for fuel consumption, like you did for the rest of the video.)
People who blame voluntary capitalists and corporations instead of coercive governments are so dumb. and half the time they're closet communists, who have a terrible track record of managing economies let alone human rights. so fkn stupid.
9:40 and there's the silver bullet - competition is key when trying to make things "affordable". The answer is to increase suppliers and competition, not giving financial aid on a needs basis (*cough* college tuition).
So these economically illiterate, ideological marxist idiots who vilify corporations and want to get government more involved in businesses need to educate themselves and quit advocating for policies that reduce competition. Instead they should be trying to deregulate and facilitate businesses - especially new competitors - as much as possible, keeping only very clearcut safety regulations instead.

5:10 bruh. calling that a capitalist's dream is ridiculous. look beyond the capitalist stereotype perpetuated by marxists/communists and think more broadly about who actually wants to exploit... parents exploit their kids with confucianism. so do political leaders, especially kings and communist. what you described sounds rather soul-crushing and completely socially unfree, which goes far beyond economic exploitation, but personal and social and mental control. Not even capitalists go that far, that's a dictator's dream.
With capitalism, you can actually see how giving a better deal to who you work with (shareholders, managers, employees, suppliers, customers, etc) can yield you yourself more benefit too - alignment of interests, aka win-win.

people may think eating seaweed is ew, but they thought that about sushi and sushi is now a premium delicacy all around the world.
If you think about it, the idea of eating anything can be made gross, including milk - puss filled cow milk, which you're intolerant to unless you're mongolian or european.
The reality is, any food is cleaned, processed, and made into sizes and shapes that you can evaluate simply based on texture and taste. I've been eating seaweed all my life, and there are MANY forms of it, and the dishes they make from it are QUITE good. If seaweed gets used by people of other cuisines, who knows what other yummy dishes may come from it?
Healthy, good for environment, cost effective, low maintenance AND it is symbiotic with oysters and muscles, additional delicacies and healthy food... just great. And it can be done in oceans instead of chemical fish farms.

Communism is the biggest scam - it promises equality, prosperity, and dismantling the elite with a half-baked, flawed idea of how the economy works, then invariably in every country, no matter the size, geography, climate, history, or religion, sets up a hyper authoritarian monarchy in all but name, with even less social and economic mobility than before and mass murder by government, no due process, and an unfree press.
And all the commies said, "HeY buT aT LeaST nO CaPitAliStS", ironically, the actual freedom and individual rights that gives the people everything communism claims to.

you say we all want freedom, equality, individualism, democracy, and rule of law.
but again, the woke do NOT. that's why the fighting is so intense.
Ryan, i think your ending bit is a noble call to the table and to find common ground, but in doing so, i think you sacrifice too much many ground realities in pursuit of that noble aim.
The woke do not want freedom.
they want authoritarianism.
you see this in how they constantly call for a centralized power to ban x or force y upon everyone.
they want mass surveillance or forced vaccinations or banning of all private schools, etc.
The woke do not want freedom.
they are incredibly against individualism, and believe in group identity, and everything is zero sum, and they view everything through a cynical lens that everyone only wants power and every individual subconsciously speaks on behalf to raise their groups power and slice of the zero sum pie.
They want to control everyone else to not be offensive if one person feels they're unsafe or triggered, far past the reasonable standards for accommodating someone with PTSD or actually have crippling fear of something. no, it's for silly stupid little words and it's obvious that almost all of the time, they're just being overdramatic to push their woke ideology instead.
The woke do not want democracy.
They're mostly marxist.
they constantly say things like "democracy failed, china is the rising star".
and "america is inherently racist, sexist, colonialist, and evil"
and if you look at their actions, not just their words, they constantly call for anti-democratic, hedgemonic dictatorships in their stated political aims.
The woke do not want rule of law.
cancel culture precisely circumvents rule of law.
so does their favorite tactic of using doxxing.
they play fast and loose with categorizing things as misinformation, then proceed to excuse summary judgement behind closed doors to ban and destroy you, and they explicitly, openly, verbally endorse this practice all the time without shame.
So if half of "all" actually do not want freedom, equality, individualism, democracy, and rule of law, your well-intentioned call to union is unfortunately a rather critical misdiagnosis.

The reason the woke are so against a lot of common sense things like rule of law, democracy, freedom of speech, property rights, etc
is because they're communist at their core. The communist ideology simply found different groups instead of the working class to agitate and be their footsoldiers. Who are they against? Capitalism. What do capitalist countries have in common? Liberal democracy. That's why all these new communists called BLM, LGBTQ, radical feminism, are all against anything that has to do with the bill of rights, checks on power, Locke's philosophies, the Enlightenment, etc. They view them all as capitalism, because they're communiist, and the woke ideology is a communiist offshoot based on agitating along cultural lines as opposed to financial class lines like Marx did. Woke isn't a new ideology - it's the same old parasitical ideology that simply switched which host it's going to target.

No.
Enforcing strict standards for energy efficiency is exactly what should NOT be done.
It causes backfire side effects, direct and indirect (just like how Kurzy was talking about when making things efficient).
Take the car industry for example. Enforcing strict standards for fuel efficiency caused car companies to achieve that narrow, myopic metric by implementing direct injection engines, but that causes a lot of side effects and the car engine doesn't last as long, and so more cars are made.
This kind of sweeping, overly simplistic, authoritarian coercion that leftists love to focus on is the exact kind of self-contradictory hypocrisy and blindspot they exhibit all the time on big issues like this.
If anything, there should be a gradual increase over time, just like how Kurzy mentioned right before this.
And it should NOT be strict. it should be reasonable and even lax.
And it should not be enforced strongly. There should be soft fines if anything, not harsh, strict, shutdowns where it causes companies and people to scramble and sacrifice all kinds of things to meet an artificially imposed myopic singular metric imposed by government coercion.

Because feminism has been hijacked by the woke, which is cultural Marxism, which ultimately stems from Hegel and Gnosticism, where you must have the secret woke knowledge, then you see everything in its truth, supposedly, and so you can take down the oppressor group.
Swap in men for bourgeois and women for proletariat, voila, you've just turned Marxism into feminism.
Plug in trans and straight, voila, trans.
Plug in white and black, voila, you've got woke racism.

@viktator4205 no, wokeism is absolutely directly descended from marxism.
Just replace bourgeois with white, male, or straight, and replace proletariat with black, female, or queer, and it is the exact same template.
They require class consciousness in marxism, and being woke in wokeness.
They call for the underclass to band together and overthrow the upper class and establish a dictatorship of the propetariat. In marxism.
In wokeism is the exact same thing, just replace bourgeois and proletariat.
That's why the woke are so I tolerant and bullying and takeover everything and are ruthless about it. Dictatorship of the queer, black, female.

South and central America avoided world wars, yet they aren't rich.
Other countries have been torn apart and decimated, but came roaring back and are world leading economies.
Notable examples are Germany, Jews/Israel, Japan, Korea, France, USA.
It really goes to show you just how critical institutions, rule of law, stability of currency, geopolitical relationships, protection of private property really are.

A chiropractor, after seeing several useless bad ones, allowed me to walk again after having major sciatica, not being able to stand or sit for a few minutes without incredible constant pain.
I wasn't expecting much from him when I saw him, but omg the first treatment was so right and made me feel so much better. And just like he said with treatments that reduce in frequency as you get better, I was able to walk again and do all kinds of athletic things again. So single-blind test, check. I'm not a confirmation-biased seeking fanboy of chiropractic. I support it because of the empirical evidence.
They're not quacks. They operate on the same physics and understanding of biology. The prescribed medical opinions are different, in the same way you get a second opinion at a mainstream, insurance backed, AMA-approved doctors from the same medical school of thought.
Quacks tell you never to see x or associate with x's school of thought, rather than being scientific and giving you the reasons why. It's the medical equivalent of what cults do. Quacks also charge you a shit ton too. Mainstream medicine, at least the shitty doctors, which there are no shortage of.
All my mainstream doctors wanted to do disc surgery prematurely, which wasn't even the real issue, given the empirical evidence of my chiropractor getting me better and to walk again without surgery.
A study was done showing that half of the population will show herniated discs but they aren't all hobbling around or needing surgery. There is very shitty baseliness or control group-based analysis when doctors diagnose patients for this kind of stuff. It could be a ligament or tendon issue.
The actual problem was a torn and inflamed and weakened sacroilliac ligament. There are protocols around it, sound healing theory with vitaminc C, perpendicular scar tissue formation, chiropractic adjustments to break the non-aligned strands, and keeping the ones aligned in the desired direction so that the overall macro-scale tissue is as parallel as we can achieve. This is all standard, known physics of what happens in the body that isn't disputed by mainstream doctors. The opinion about what is the effective treatment, what the causes are, and things like that are what are different among chiropractors and mainstream qaucks.
You also have to keep in mind that there is a spectrum of quality no matter which field, industry, or school of thought you go into. You'll see shitty mianstream doctors, shitty chiropractors, and good ones respectively. Like I said, I went through about 5 useless chiropractors before I met the good one.

@keonkla excellent summary.
The oneissing piece in your analysis of the situation is that maybe feminism is DESIGNED to create a gender war.
Remember, it is one of the cultural evolutions of economic Marxism, as are the race versions and etc.
Marxism sets up two groups, says they're in conflict, and that they must fight it out in order for history to progress and for the old order to "resolve its contradiction". In practice all that mumbo jumbo is, is to radicalize and band together the downtrodden, whether it is working class peasants or racial minorities or the historically oppressed gender, and pit them against the opposite group. That's marxism. That's why communism as so brutal, that's why they all turn totalitarian and bullying, whether it is communism or the social justice / woke movements such as feminism or BLM or lbgtbbq.
They're baiting a conflict.
Wokeism is Maoism with American characteristics. It really is. Mao had 10 or so ide tity groups and put them all against each other and once ti ized people to change, just like the woke do for "you're white cis privileged, but if you re ounce that, you can be an "ally" of the black female intersectional gay army

There is literally not a single truth contained in BLM
It's not widespread, they base it on anecdotes.
And those anecdotes are found to be bs (e.g. brianna taylor - if cops get shot, do you not expect them to shoot back? smh)
Telling everyone to go buy from black people because one black guy died is fkn racist.
Tearing up the streets, innocent businesses, attacking people then vilifying them if they defend themselves (Kyle) all across the country in multiple different cities doesn't do anything, and is committing something worse than the thing they're protesting.
Calling Trump and capitol hill as oh so bad when Trump didn't even say go do violence, while MULTIPLE left politicians EXPLICITLY endorsed more BLM violence is hypocritical af.
Blacks kill more blacks than whites do or cops do. And blacks commit more crime per capita than any other race.
Reducing funding and being hostile against police removed protection from crime-ridden areas, a lot of them disproportionately black, hurt those poor black people... but BLM dgaf about them. they only care about their ideology.
Cop deployment is largely data-driven now, and so cops are sent to where there is more crime. It's not racist.
If anything, cop reform should be the thing, not defunding them, or crying racist violence white cop toward black victim.
BLM is fucking stupid and wrong in every single way.
BLM is what BLM says others are - racist and divisive and violent.
Only idiots would support BLM.

the preacher guy is so dang emotional, and can't see much outside his axioms which are beyond questioning to him.
Continually, every time he kept starting off with "he is a white man... he is white.. the white .." like jesus, do you have to view everything in terms of race? There are many ways to chop up or categorize reality. That's what Jordan meant by slicing up or construing reality in terms of identity and collectives rather than individual. That is one dimension of sliving up reality, collectist view, vs individualist view. That's just one dimension. Another is by race. Another is be gender. Another is by living/nonliving. another is by conscious, not conscious,. another is by intelligent, non-intelligent. another is by mammal, non-mammal.... as you can see, it is ENDLESS. So why do you choose to see everything in terms or RACE? That one PARTICULAR dimension? You do that as you are talking about diversity and inclusivity. You're not even acknowledging or hearing the other dimensions by continually and only seeing things in terms of race, and oppression and privileve... those particular few dimensions out of infinite.
If you construe something in terms of race when it's irrelevant, that makes YOU the RACIST, not others.
At the core of the preacher's mental flaws is the inability to see the other side, whereas The con-pc side actually does see and understand your position.
The one who can actually acknowledge and see and take into account both perspectives as opposed to just one is far more informed. If you haven't even considered a component, why should we even listen to you as the expert on how to synthesize, weight, and incorporate the components?

militaries, if not run by a single man at the top, don't just pick sides according to politics
there's a current command structure, and most of the country is still thinking on a federal level, with USA identity being far more powerful than state identity.
so if the federal gov just gives the order to keep the country together and quell violence, be it republican or democrat, it'll happen that way.
even if top generals picked sides and even if soldiers obeyed the chain of command, it's not like generals are like caesar anymore, where they command the respect and loyalty of their troops, where the troops will follow their general. most don't even know their general's name.
On top of this, do you think the FBI and CIA will just sit by, or pick sides themselves? no. they're federal agencies, and at the very least, can coerce/put pressure on / carrot & stick top military leaders to their ordered federal will.

The real question radical feminists should be asking themselves, is what does it say about men and women that women tend to fall for such absurd ideologies as radical feminism aka misandry, when it was men in the olden days that were conscripted, was forced to do slave labor in the form of war, suffered the knife wounds, gunshot wounds, sleepless nights, hard labor, freezing hardships, push on despite diseases, get no sympathy for real dread or PTSD... as if women were the only ones suffering before the modern era after the enlightenment and the USA brought liberalism to the tiger nations of Asia.
Such an absolutely skewed blindspot they have.

@raqueljacobs1542 free markets do not advocate for or excuse cronyism. if you know anything about laissez faire capitalism aka free market capitalism, the iconic dialogue is a king asking people how to help them, and the people respond with "stop helping us, and just let us be.
That's the exact opposite of cronyism or mercantilism - the marriage of big business with government for favorable policies, dibs on winning contracts, revolving doors between gov agencies and corporate leadership jobs, etc.
So your whole "capitalists excuse cronyism" is just an incessant conflation marxists make, while they themselves excuse stalin and mao's disastrous policies and mass murders as "not real communism", despite following the policies marx advocated of destroying existing culture, collectivizing resources, banning property, etc.

Yes, civilizations rise and fall. But the real impact of that isn't really felt when we hear that.
Imagine if your currency is not stable, or if courts only had 10 years left to remain reasonably just, then plunge into total bribery and corruption, or if grocery stores couldn't get enough food and a loaf of bread cost 10 dollars, or a your cryptocurrency's lifespan is 1.5 years.
THAT's what it means that civilizations rise and fall.
Our institutions (aka social infrastructure) are UNSTABLE. we can't take things for granted, and establishing them again will cost a lot of bloodshed, pain, struggle, poverty, and clinging to something to keep ourselves from giving up, going insane, or just suiciding.

consistent digits is good, but base 12 is better than base 10, because you can divide by 1, 2, 3, 4.
why not make it divisible by 1,2,3,4, AND 5? well then that maans your base has to be 60, which is an order of magnitude greater than 10 or 12.
you can still count on your hands by using your elbows for 11 and 12.
Fun fact, for big rotational things like degrees of a circle, or a clock's divisions,
420 might be a better base than 360 because
420 is divisible by 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
360 is divisible by 1,2,3,4,5,6

Communism really is incoherent.
China is successful only due to having embraced capitalism to a large degree. Otherwise, you turn into USSR, venezuela, cuba, etc.
even without embracing capitalism, communism doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
no, the only place to extract profits from is not paying workers less - the amount you can sell the product for depends on the demand for it, so the ceiling can grow and you can pay workers more. companies will pay more for workers as the supply of workers goes down or the demand for it goes up and you want to hire talent before your competitors do. Back in the industrial factory days, industrialization was just getting going, so the competition for labor hadn't saturated to be bid up yet. That is to be expected when workers need the job more than companies need employees. duh. just wait for there to be more companies and wages will go up, silly Marx.

wokeness is complete garbage through and through.
it isn't even honest - it's a bait and switch. it's ultimate agenda is communism but it isn't straightforward about it, instead pivoting to cultural issues. You might say that's a fine pivot and a natural evolution of ideology, but actually, it was consciously pushed by its founders, deliberately concealed as they instructed their followers to not mention marxism or communism, all the while not admitting that marxism and communism was wrong - capitalism didn't cause the poor, it for the first time in history raised people out of global poverty at the same time as the largest population boom, which is a goddammed miracle. And so these dishonest founders of wokeness, instead of admitting they failed their working class moved on to find a new underclass to replace the traditional working class / proletariat in their ultra simplistic binary dichotomy of capitalist bourgeois vs working class proletariat in the form of colored vs white, women vs men, gay vs straight, etc.
wokeness is a garbage theory pushed by dishonest lying pos, and has been discredited by wide empirical large sample data.

i honestly find maps of meaning so much better.
it describes in detail and leads you through the progression of thought regarding why and how meaning is tied to perception which is tied to biology and goals, and therefore "truth", or at least the epistemology of truth.
it covers a lot of his viewpoints, his history, where he's coming from, and makes his controversial statements make so much more sense, or at least not as nonsensical as his opponents would claim it to be.
12 rules for life sounded was a bit too platitude-like, and very simplified to the point of meaningless cliches... or at least not very grounded in fundamental ideas. JP is way so much more capable of building things from the fundamental ground up, and he does that in maps of meaning as well as most of his lectures... so why 12 rules for life is so popular... it honestly seems like dumbed down stuff for the masses that is palatable enough for them.
I find his lectures amazing, very fresh, very insightful, and very worthwhile.

This is the problem with leftist thinking: stop trying to punish or censor or ban or tax things you don't want, and instead, focus on making the solution more appealing that people flock to it voluntarily.
Fighting ignorance of the advancements of nuclear tech is one, a big outdated ideological conception in people's minds for opposing more nuclear plants.
(thorium doesn't produced radioactive waste, breeder reactors and molten salt reactors automatically liquify so you can't have nuclear runaway like solid core uranium reactors can.)
Finding ways to achieve safety without harsh political and government regulations, which drive up time and cost to build plants is another, so that actually building more isn't so costly or risky, which deters investors and entrepreneurs who otherwise might do so.
Marketing and changing the perception of nuclear by building a successful working shining example will prove in people's minds that things are possible. This is what Elon Musk did with private rocket launches, innovating reusable rockets, jump starting electric vehicles, and putting out all kinds of attractive and inspiring ideas that actually get funded, such as hyperloop and underground boring traffic networks.
Leftists are too addicted to using the coercive power of government. It's there hammer, and everything looks like a nail to them, whether it's climate change, herd immunity, achieving environmental sustainability, taking care of the poor, solving problematic speech, and the list goes on. Virutally every issue is approached by leftists with a coercive government as the only solution, and they are unwilling to see any other approaches that are more voluntary and nudging.
