I think it's important to distinguish between misrepresentation of facts which falsely support false narratives and those that are just misleading in scale but which support true narratives. In this case, the Vox narrative still holds even with your correction. To compare it to the Rightwing 'Facts' is in-genuine, as when they are fact checked their narrative is often proven as false, changing the outcome.

Cherry-picking is generally the action of using a outlying example which supports your argument when the majority of the other examples do not, thereby supporting a false conclusion fallaciously. This is what Tucker has done, but not what Vox did, as the majority of the examples still support Vox's argument.
