all the while complaining that twitter censors the president's comments. always a double standard with republicans. it's ok when they do it, just not when anyone else does it

@kimlersue hmm I think you're probably misunderstanding the social media process here. Trump is the one who is trying to make Fox liable for the comments on its streams. His solution is to make the providers liable for their users' comments. Twitter are the good guys here; they don't need to moderate their site currently. Trump would make it absolutely necessary.

@richardeisenhower7381 american law allows fox to lie absolutely. they have been in court many times over lying, but it's all covered by free speech - even them saying that it's news and not lies is covered by free speech. it's completely corrupt.

@kimlersue that is definitely true. It is our responsibility to see each other's view point.

Robert R on fox's webpage, they are the publisher. did I understand with my little brain? also, if the platform makes the user sign a contract/terms and conditions that they will take responsibility in law for the comments on their videos, given they have the ability to allow them or not, would that hold in court? sorry for my tiny brain you big stable genius.

Robert R I've actually been looking into this - since Fox already have editorial control over their comments section, removing the liability protection would make them liable, even without a legal agreement from youtube. but we both know you would not grasp that concept. idiot.

M Smith not really. AIDS lost attention because, quite frankly, Americans don't care about Africans or homosexuals. it is still a pandemic. the way Americans found to cope with AIDS was to stop caring. Still, I'm not sure how this is about covid - this is about moderation vs censorship, liability and corruption
