well, I'm guessing that the heavy rail washes away the soil from under the rails, and that reduces their ability to support trains.

@maahir4486 it's a little different; trains have very defined tracks to run on; autonomous cars can go anywhere. it's reasonable to assume trains are less likely to have an accident given their massive restrictions. On the other hand, trains have capabilities that far exceed cars, mainly speed, which are generally overlooked by laymen. for example, the train in Spain that derailed about five years ago was because a train driver went too fast on a bend. there are still laws in train travel which will cause accidents if broken - even if they are far more extreme that those in car travel, they are more readibly available to be broken in train travel.
