@SuperMannurse they have everything taken from them. I'm not talking about material things. I'm saying he can't be a victim it he's not punished, if he loses nothing from this whole thing.

@SuperMannurse yes, I did watch the trial. however, I feel you're trying to get away from the question. Let's keep focused and answer the question: What has he had taken from him? What has he lost to become a victim? Edit: I realise you read "what did he take" as "what did he endure". no, I meant a life.

@SuperMannurse no, he got 3 months for killing someone. It's not decided whether it was self defense (you did watch the trial, right!?!). It's not victimhood, it's accountability; you kill someone violently, you get put in holding - that's the law, he did something bad, people make sure he can't do anything more bad until court. The time was not 'taken' from him without him doing something bad first. Not sure you understand the concept of 'Victim". And he "got his name dragged through the mud" for going looking for trouble with an illegal weapon. (which he did - you did watch the trial, right?) You aslo can't be a victim of something that didn't happen, the rape you talk about. That only happened in your imagination. So again, nothing lost. he was called a white supremacist without full justification. What a terrible price, you're right, what a victim. I bet that dead guy will agree.

@SuperMannurse innocent until proven guilty does not let you dodge detention if you are suspected of guilt, else all people waiting for court would just be able to run away. being denied bail on murder charges when the defendant may be unsafe on the outside is normal, I think. The charges of possession were dropped against Kyle but that does not make the weapon not illegal - it was purchased on behalf of Kyle which binger is prosecuting Black for. You did watch the trial, right?

@SuperMannurse I'm pretty sure I did not say he was denied on safety, I think I just said it's normal. Since you said it's not the norm? sooooooo not grasping at straws there, perhaps you're not good at reading my comments? perhaps you're grasping at straws to keep your perspective?

@SuperMannurse sure, I know neither you or me are here to change each other's minds. Law: lethal force is only self defence if all other options are exhausted Fact: Kyle did not even try to punch the guy. Verdict: not self defence. you either follow the law, or you're one of these "I support the law until it suits me not to" types. the truth is, the Judge has a chance to be lenient. Probably, even though Kyle put himself in a stupid position, it was more a spur of the moment reaction rather than intent to kill. That is taken care of in the sentencing. It does not, however, change the facts and the law. Feelings don't count.
