Surely we know it can’t be quite right because you can draw a false conclusion from it - that the universe is static. Yet you cannot derive the observable truth that the universe is expanding. It is a great example of Godels incompleteness theory applied to physics. There is something we know to be true that cannot be proved by the theory, meaning the theory is incomplete, and must be expanded to cover the discrepancy - lambda. The other problem is there’s not enough observable mass, and dark matter is not falsifiable. If you cannot find it where you are looking then you can always look somewhere else - because the universe is expanding. But if it if does not exist then you can look forever and never find it, thus it is not falsifiable.
