  1. Saudi Arabia have not renewed the Petrodollar Pact. They are free to trade oil for any currency they like now, meaning the dollar is no longer essential to buy oil. Oil is the only commodity that can be remotely said to back the dollar. I think this is a mammoth turn of events, i.e. giant and extinct.
