  1. The only problem with the looks of the S are the front. Too plain and characterless. The GTE was the second attempt and they nailed it. The 400 went to far with the creases. The back is far too busy, the wing is a disaster and the black thing under the front number plate looks like a rubber band. But they seem to have realised their mistakes and the 430 just about hits the sweet spot that they found with the GTE.

  2. Masonry I think but in any case they nailed the front and everything else was right from the beginning. Now I know you have a 400 so my comment might not go down too well but I still think the creases were a poor aesthetic. It is typical for later generations to become more angular. It just looks like lazy design to me born from a lack of confidence in the original design.
