  1. The Conservative Party has not even conserved itself. An insight I heard recently is that the left argue on promises of the future. They can offer any grand vision as the future, but as we know, it never comes about as promised. While Conservatives, if the name is taken literally, argue on the merits of preserving what we already have. So for how long does a socialist creation, like the NHS, have to be in existence, before the Conservatives argue for its preservation?
