  2.  intempify  The thing is I don't need the media to explain to me what happened. I have drawn my own conclusion. We had a referendum and one side won by a narrow margin, but nonetheless won. The majority of parliament opposed the result and for the three years following parliament obstructed the implementation of the referendum. This crippled the government to the extent that it was not functioning. We had an election an one party said we will finish the process so we can move on and the other parties continued to oppose or not take a firm position. The voters know we have to move on from the referendum and of course the majority of them were in favour of implementing the result so they choose to remove the opposition. Essentially the parties that lost have only themselves to blame for biting the hand that feeds them.
