  2. The problem was largely masked because although the cars were apparently becoming cleaner, at the same time more people were changing to diesel. Even with the two variables changing simultaneously air quality tests in the UK showed the air was getting worse despite cars being replaced with newer models that had 'passed' emissions tests. The thing that bothers me (apart from the air pollution) is that the EU fines us for having polluted air yet it was polluted by diesel cars where the manufacturer was deceiving the customers. I don't believe our government or the customers are culpable here because they were knowingly mislead. The culprits are the manufactures yet the victims have been fined for the dishonesty of the manufacturers. We should be reimbursed for the fines we received and it should come from the manufacturers pocket. With that money perhaps we can install charging stations.

  4. We were trapped in it for 40 years. Our politicians have become weak because they have less to do. It will take time to escape because we have to raise better politicians. But along as we never give up, we will succeed.

  5.  @margueritedelaharpe3209  Well I don't think they were lost. I grew up in between a cold war US airbase and a Royal Airforce Air base. My next door neighbours worked at the US airbase. I think the crop sprayer was related on one of those two bases.
