Listening to this reminds me that I don't oppose government doing what it should to improve people lives but Labour always talks about the same people and has the same prescription as if state spending is all that can change anything and the only people who are going to get anything are those working for the state. Turn the record over.

First off a second referendum is not legitimate and I completely oppose one so the line of thinking could end there. But I am not sold on your suggestion of boycotting one either. A very risky strategy even to talk about a second referendum. Just stick to the assertion that a second is not legitimate until the first has been exercised.

@Iazzaboyce I agree, but I'm not sold on the boycott idea or the alternative. The remainers tried to say the last referendum (the real 2nd) was illegitimate due to voter turn out, although that was a stretch considering about 36M voted. But even so they failed with that tactic. I would not want to go to another vote at all. The thing is talk about a another referendum and how we might fight it is like planting a seed for another referendum. We don't need to consider it because we have already won. Talk about the terms is also nonsense because the terms were not specified in the last referendum therefore people who voted leave did so on unspecified terms . When they did that they implicitly accepted any terms, including none.

@Iazzaboyce I take your point. But the remainers would not see that as defeat and they would have the majority vote - albeit in a small turnout.

@Iazzaboyce The other problem is having to accept whatever deal May has got. Currently it looks like the deal is pretty poor.
