When people tear down statues of slave traders, forgetfulness is exactly their strategy because they cannot forgive and leave the past where it is. This is why they are in mental slavery, because they are still captured by a past that was not even theirs.

There are two parties involved in forgiveness. To the person forgiving it relieves them of of the past, they can move on. But to the person receiving forgiveness how can someone accept forgiveness without acknowledging their wrong doing? To that person forgiveness would appear as an accusation first.

To be forgiven you have to first recognise that you have wronged. Otherwise you don't believe you have anything to be forgiven for so you do not accept forgiveness. To a person how does not accept they have wronged, forgiveness will appear as a accusation.

I see plenty of entrepreneurship in other countries such as south east asia so I don't quite accept that is the problem but overall I think you are right that we have this idea that modern is better and we have to keep upgrading rather than preserve. If something can last long I see that as a virtue.

@AllBrightColors Those people who committed slavery did repent. The changed their ways. If they had not then their descendants would still be enslaving people today but they are not. Their descendants have paid for those past crimes though. The debt was only repaid a few years ago. Seeking revenge is not the way because firstly you will never find the party who first transgressed. And secondly it just causes people to be cruel themselves and next people are seeking revenge against those people. Revenge is a cycle that never ends until you stop seeking revenge.

As wild as it may sound I think one attempt at a new religion is going to be aliens. It's been floating about probably as long as people. Regan suggested we all believe in a threatening extraterrestrial force so that the world can unite against a common foe. The background work has been going on for decades. Recently the US said a video of pilots intercepting a UFO was real footage and last week we had an astronaut telling us aliens probably exist amongst us already. I'm not saying the idea will take hold but watch the media and ask yourself are they softening us up?

Peter has said on many occasions, including this interview, that he accepted vaccination so he could travel and see friends and loved ones. The virus does not stop a person traveling, it stops a person living. It was governments that stopped people travelling. Yet he has never said he was afraid of catching CoVid and denies he was coerced.

Those with wealth may seek power next but those with nothing seek power as a means to wealth. I've know plenty of people who have practically nothing and still wield power over others and know they do.

BVale I worked with someone similar - I suspect we have all had a boss like that. As I see it, it is all about following truth or falsehood. Truth lasts and leads top greater things while falsehood is found out before long and cannot be followed any further so change has to come about. People who change all the time are following falsehood.
