Nobody has a national identity any longer because our history has not been taught for at least 40 years. A German is more likely to know Britain's history than a Briton. But they do not have our interests in mind. We do not even teach English grammar; can you tell? Education across Britain is dire.

There is good reason for an English parliament, but will the countries diverge so far that the union is under threat? I would like us to be one Britain.

Madeleine deleine I believe the correct response is charming. When I went to America, everyone liked the accent, it was quickly evident that an English accent would open all sorts of doors for a person. It was like a rebirth, I felt more appreciated in America than in England. Many world leaders were educated at Oxford or Cambridge, the previous Kind of Thailand, for instance. He looked after his people and was well-loved by them. I can see the English education as our 'soft power' influence in the world, but on balance I think it is beneficial. Now it appears China is using education to influence - they are buying up English private schools.

Madeleine deleine I'm not convinced they are buying schools because they admire the English, but it's a noble thought. What makes me weary, is that 1) we did get 20M of them hooked on opium, and 2) they are communists. I think Uri Bezmenov said the majority of subversive effort goes into education. That's how they play the long game.
