  1. I think the division is not left or right, socialist or capitalist, communist or fascist. It's collectivist and individualist. Socialism, communism, fascism, these are all collectivist strategies. Libertarian is individualist. The only rule is that your actions must not prevent another's ability to act on their individual instinct. All collectivist strategies are authoritarian because to form a collective the individual must forfeit their individual instinct for the common purpose and if they resist then they must be forced. The collective can only be maintained by suppressing those instincts when they arise. If you suppose that challenges face humanity that we must overcome then collectivism is a weak strategy because all those people could be trying their own methods for solving the challenge instead of all following the same method and with 7 billion people in the world we have massive parallel activity.
