'the more actual hardship a country has faced, the less likely they are to overreact to CoVid'. In 1957 Britain experienced an influenza pandemic that killed about 30,000 people but nobody paid much attention to it. And again in 1968. Many of those people who lived through those pandemics were the generation who lived through WWI and WWII.

@garethedwardking5860 I can only guess that people have been led to this unwittingly for decades. But I'm sorry to say I've started to consider if these people are worth it.

@nikkygovier3783 Once you spot it you can build resistance. In my case I am isolated from family, as for friends, well I don't have any. But I have dodged the bombardment of the message because I eschew the BBC and treat all media with distrust. I dare say I have an above average grasp of logic which gives me a sense for contradiction. If you can knock out 2 of the 3 pillars then the house collapses.

@nikkygovier3783 During a pandemic it must be normal to use experimental treatments. The use of alcohol as an anti-septic was discovered by experiment in a field hospital. But isn't the problem that people are not being made fully aware of the risk? Reports came out that doctors were being told the risk to fertility was unknown yet that was left out of the information given to patients.

@milels6917 Do you think it is because people had first hand experience of WWII, and I guess WWI?
