I’ve come to the conclusion that society has been groomed for decades to fall. The racism accusation is one of the foundation axioms in this logic that has been used to groom western civilisation for its own destruction. History shows every civilisation can be toppled and given that western culture is the current pinnacle, it is western culture that is always facing demise. We have to be serious about that. But the point is this self loathing is a grooming technique.

Chris Russ It gets accepted if there is no alternative but (cynically) they get no credit for the achievement. More likely someone of less competency gets the credit. That is itself dangerous because it rewards incompetence while simultaneously disincentives the competent. It’s the question of forgiveness, when, how and why.

@DeviantDeveloper Malicious entities act out of self interest. But I do question whether there is a single malicious entity or if we have just lost our way and blindly walking into our own destruction.

Brian Gable I’m not convinced money should have any intrinsic value. At its simplest it is a medium for exchange. If that medium is necessary for some other purpose then there is a conflict of interest. For instance if money was Covid19 vaccines (which would have great intrinsic value now) then you either destroy the medium of exchange by vaccination and have to return to battering or you fail to prevent an epidemic.

Brian Gable I watched the whole 2007 credit crunch unfolding with great interest after I bought a house in 2005. Until I had that responsibility I paid no attention to economics or politics. After buying the house, those subjects became my main interests. I listened to the fiat currency, fractional reserve, interest argument and took it onboard. I still have ears for it. But I have gone almost full circle now just as people seem to be waking up to it. As I see it now the problem is not that the currency is infinite but that the supply is irresponsible. The population is increasing and those who are economically active are increasing. If the money supply is finite the you end up with more goods and services chasing the same amount of currency. That leads to price deflation and people are encouraged not to spend. Then people can’t sell anything. Fiat (infinite) currency can meet any demand for money but the supply has to be equal to demand otherwise currency inflation and devaluation of the currency.
