Thank you for the overview of how this is supposed to work. Are gas vapors so prolific that they needed to create this horrific overly complicated EVAP system? I understand one-way valve letting air in for gas burnt so it doesn't create a vacuum. I don't understand the reason for a purge out of air, which looks to be where the complexity comes in, in system design, maintenance and repair.

@johnsaccoccio7373 I'm fairly close to that (perfectly running and safe, sent to the crusher) myself. Dealer and mechanics can't resolve P0455, for the past 2 years. I don't understand the necessity of having the system open for purging. Closed fuel system with one-way inlet of air to avoid vacuum, would seem to do the job.

@myRatchets Rust where gas cap sits on filler neck, another cause of P0456, P0455.

@reweydewy Verbally, when it comes to large leak, they tell me their guessing which part, as they've replaced them one by one. Now that I want a state waiver from any more evap bills, in writing, it says "Customer is refusing general diagnostics." ?!?

Yes. If it has two purge valves and only one is working/opening, it won't know the other is failing. Here's an example of two valves, both are failing to open, and no mention of PCM faults. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXwDZ8O7hyw
