  1. "Democracy requires all sides to come together in good faith and willing to compromise" And yet, that didn't happen. Austerity for the public, record profits for the wealthy. Still not enough? Import cheaper labor to replace citizenry. Where was this "come together" part you're talking about? Because that didn't happen, for decades now. Tonight on DW, some woman names Barbara said it's the nations' fault and not Brussels. Hmmm, and all this time I thought the generous gifts of wealth were being granted with "trade deals": near tax free industry, human trafficking for cheap labor, etc..

So you're okay with - over 60 million unemployed - illegal employers engaging in wage theft, abusive and dangerous work conditions - big Pharma royal ripoffs which hammer everyone's insurance premiums - subprime education and subprime student loans - wage suppression ($2 an hour for waitresses and "job growth" being $7.25/part time) - human trafficking in our trade deals, western work visas for foreign market access - wiping out foreign agriculture, flooding in US corn, creating slums around the world with US trade deals - "deregulation" to cut safety and integrity in the US goods market - 2000 oil spills since 1990 and dumping responsibility for super fund sites across the US Geeze, I could go on all day.

Excessive is millions stolen from TriCare with $25K a month "medical cream". Arbitrary is when Joe Sixpack is jailed for years for a joint while Goldman Sachs heads back to Wall St to rip off even more, nationally and internationally.  (MIC now moving into the White House). You seem to not recognize full on economic class warfare by the 1%.

  9. No gerrymandering - districts drawn non-partisan. Parties doing this is a direct conflict of interest. No campaigning. Primary is a debate on public airwaves. Top 4 in votes goes on to the general. Debate in on public airwaves. "Campaign donations" illegal. No using corporate money for PACs or lobbyists. Shareholders that are citizens already have "a voice" of their own and shareholders of corporations are not necessarily citizens with constitutional rights.   10. The distinction between US and EU, particularly US and UK, started to disintegrate with Reagan/Thatcher fiscal policy alliance, and has only picked up speed. Neoliberalism of the economies by the policitians is not a US only fiscal policy.
