You put socio/psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder in the same boat, as if its all the same, which it isnt, and why i would say that lecter has psychopathic traits. So let me elaborate. We have secondary psychopathy, or what is commonly called as sociopathy/antisocial personality disorder, and we have primary psychopathy (or just psychopathy) which is a bit different. They both share traits such as lack of empathy, remorse, disregard for others, but as where sociopaths are more impulsive, reckless and irresponsible (hence why more of them are incarcerated, cant hold down a job...) psychopaths are more calculating, cold, manipulative (therefore achieving succes in their chosen carreers) To argue the saying: "psychopaths are born, sociopaths are made" that is a bit of a myth, only partly true. While in psychopathic individuals there is a genetic component, enviroment and parenting play a big role too. And its not even a % thing, i mean how much is genetics and how much is the enviroment, its how much one is sucectible to enviroment, how much it affects them. And we know that Hannibal, even young, was always different, and even if he wasnt from the start, maybe his psychopathic side/traits- for lack of a better word haha, came out or started showing themselves after the death of Misha. So in conclusion i would say he has the traits of psychopathy, as we dont call people by their disorder/ilness anymore (psychopaths, autists...)
