  1. Two reasons for the higher quality...1. California equity locusts are picky and demanding (I know, as a lifelong Angeleno). 2. It absolutely doesn't cost double the money to build a "800k" house versus a "400k" house, so there's a lot more wiggle room in the budget to hire good people and maybe take a little longer too.
